I saw the DVD. It's facinating. I can't speak for it's validity since I am not a theologian or a history scholar but it seemed well researched. At any rate it's a bit of an analysis of radical islamic thinking (actually it goes so far as to say it's simply Islamic thinking) but I applied my own grain of salt there.

It basically states that it's a violent religeon and we need to know that. Now before anyone beats me up - I'm not a hater. I'm not saying I agree. I am saying that I am digesting this material as part of my personal opinion though. I might take a piece or two. I might accept it all. I'm still deciding.

At any rate try to get your hands on it. I know you can find the trailer on google video.

It would be worth knowing who is behind Quixotic media before deciding whether to give them my money.........after reading their own synopsis of the film it doesn't seem to me to be wholly unbiased........

All religions that are based in right versus wrong, judgmental and we are superior because are violent religions when put in the hands of people with human frailties, delusions and a thirst for conquest and able to communicate and inspire people who are less fortunate.

Islam is no different then Christianity in this manner and a tape like this is just another example of over simplification to make the world black and white so we can embrace simple beliefs and actions to something that is far more complex.

Religion and patriotism spread often by fear mongering are the two fake reasons why people have died in wars in history.

If people want to learn what Islam is and the people that practice it, try getting in touch with people who practice it you will find the majority are exactly like us, want to live with the fewest hassles, be happy and have a loving and flourishing family. The type of message that Islam is violent is nothing more then basing Christianity based on the views of the far far right wing Christian fundamentalist.

Gross generalizations equals BAD!

It's all true, they're going to convert you and kill you: in no particular order.

You may as well put your gun down and busy on down the Mosque for evensong, or whatever it's called.

I'm not a hater either, I'm just baffled by the well-worn "we're all going die" routine......well, maybe not, fear and pride etc.

"What the West needs to know" is that the same Naziesque methods of propaganda used to whip up hysteria about the Jews is being used, for the same reasons, to whip up hysteria about the Muslims.

The same technique is used: pick one Jew/Muslim and attribute all evils to the entirety of the Jewish or Muslim religion. Take a few scattered quotations from Jewish/Muslim religious documents and present them as the entire belief. Take the same quotations and produce the pseudo-expert to "interpret" what they really say to show how calculating the Jews/Muslims are and how their evil is a component and inescapable part of the Jewish/Muslim religion..

Above all play the fear fear fear tactics that the horrid Jewish/Muslim conspiracy is out to get us now now now.

Finally, while complaining about being the victims of the perfidious Jews/Muslims, engage in crimes against humanity in the guise of defending yourselves against victims who "just won't leave us alone."

Petronius, the hole in you analogy is that there were not gangs of Jewish terrorists setting off bombs in German towns.  The nazis them selves were creating the attacks and blaming the Jews, which the "keepers" think is occurring in the USA currently.

BTW who exactly is attribuitng evil to the entirety of the muslim religion?

Not much came up when I tried to view the link in the OP but I will say this, any organisation that advocates killing people that try  to leave it cant be classified as totally peaceful. Can it ?

In today's world Christian theologians are pussy cats compared to the Mad Mullahs. I exclude some in America but in general the point holds lol
Almost anything seems to happen in America, its what makes the place so interesting.

What the dopey Liberal apologists do is extract what has happened in the past and juxtapose ( I love that word)  it with what is happening today.

I don't think either faith is in the lead... even if you consider Nazi Germany to be a Christian nation, which I don't.  Aetheist Communist countries clearly are leading - between the Soviets, the Chinese, and the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, they are way out in front when it comes to genocide.

Some interesting responses. I find it interesting that some seem to have already decided what it's all about without even seeing it. Odd for such an 'open minded' community. But to each their own so I accept your views. The documentary makes an interesting point. Radical Islam isn't a religeon the way the west sees religoen. It's not something you do voluntarily on Sunday's or Holidays if you have time or WANT to. Radical Islam controls everything! The way you dress, your political views, the works. This is the enemy we face. Not peaceful Islamics who just want their own comminuties in the world. It's the radical one's seeking to impose their values on you whether you want them or not. The documentary had good references. Quoting the Quran and other documents. Liek I said - it's not a MUST SEE. I even said I wouldn't have paid to see it. Just noting that it was interesting if you run into it.
