DISCLAIMER - No "facts" were verified in re-posting this collection from an email I received. To qualify it for the 'Humor' section I added parenthetically my own random comments... The human body is a machine that is full of wonder. This collection of human body facts will leave you wondering why in the heck we were designed the way we were. -Scientists say the higher your IQ the more you dream. (Explains why I never dream.) -The largest cell in the human body is the female egg and the smallest is the male sperm. (Which came first is up for discussion.) -You use 200 muscles to take one step. (slaves take note: 250 are used to crawl. - GREAT workout potential!) -The average woman is 5 inches shorter than the average man. (Equality comes from wearing 5" heels) -Your big toes have two bones each while the rest have three. (California social engineers are trying to figure out how to correct this unequal distribution of bone - Bills are pending in Sacramento which will tax the other toes 10% each and give it to the big toes.) -A pair of human feet contain 250,000 sweat glands. (Foot fetishists take note.) -A full bladder is roughly the size of a soft ball. (Explaining why its tough getting full coverage during a 'golden shower'.) -The acid in your stomach is strong enough to dissolve razor blades. (But not recommended as a recycling idea.) -The human brain cell can hold 5 times as much information as the Encyclopedia Britannica. (Yeah but for how long?) -It takes the food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach. (What about 'fast food'?) -The average human dream lasts 2-3 seconds (Referencing that 'vanilla' thread - that makes the 45 second guy a 'dream stud'.)

-Men without hair on their chests are more likely to get cirrhosis of the liver than men with hair. (I'll drink to that!) -At the moment of conception, you spent about half an hour as a single cell. (After that you start dating.) -There is about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet. (For you Math Majors, thats 4 Million bacteria per sweat gland.) -Your body gives off enough heat in 30 minutes to bring half a gallon of water to a boil. (It takes longer in higher elevations.) -The enamel in your teeth is the hardest substance in your body. (HA! - Back in my youth I would have challenged that!) -Your teeth start growing 6 months before you are born. (The lesson: NEVER fuck a pregnant woman!) -When you are looking at someone you love, your pupils dilate, they do the same when you are looking at someone you hate. (This doesn't help at a bar where it can also mean the person is on Ecstasy.) -Blonds have more hair than dark-haired people. (Shaving eliminates the possibility of anyone using the counting method to determine if you are a 'natural'. -Your thumb is the same length of your nose! (THAT's why I see both noses and thumbs bandaged on the bimbos coming out of Hollywood plastic surgery offices.)

People only use one sixtth of their brain (I bet that varies more than they think)

Your height is equal to the span of your fingers to fingers if you hold your arms out straight from your sides.

The length of the erect male penis is about the distance as far as you can extend the tip of your thumb and index finger.

(these last two taken together offer some interesting theories. If you slump does your penis shrink ? And the correlation between the hand and penis size is interesting as well, almost seems to be by design. Well I guess if Man was created before Woman, and he lost a rib, it all seems to fit somehow)

Some points to ponder, STAND UP STRAIGHT Merc !

PS; For reasons I refuse to mention, I simply do not believe the thumb/nose correlation.

PPS; The razor blade/stomach acid thing, can it eat cockroahes ? I mean you can nuke them, freeze them all kinds of things and they just come back to life. Now if you remember Fear Factor, I saw the contestents get warned to chew up their dinner of Madagascar Roaches or they would crawl around in their stomach. Has any real research been done on this ? Might be time for me to Google.
