That depends on whether tolerant means you can tolerate other people doing things that you judge, or whether it means you are non-judgemental.

I am tolerant in that I tolerate other people's right to do things that I think are lame, stupid or gross.  I make no claims to be non-judgemental and I'm not quite sure it's possible to be entirely non-judgemental.  Nor am I sure it's even a good thing.

"We" are no different than anyone else.  Some of us are more tolerant some of us not so much.  Some of us see the facets and are cool with your facet being different than mine and vice versa.  The end all be all is we are human and subject to all the foibles of human nature regardless of where we fall in the spectrum of WIITWD.

oh hell no...we are not more tolerant nor are we non-judgemental...we do and do not do things because it benifits us...in the context of this lifestyle we use terms like tolerant and non-judgemental because we want to be tolerated and we don't want to be judged for our lifestyle and our kinks...so we tolerate and don't judge or at least we attempt to or atleast some of us attempt to or atleast some of us attempt to some of the time...aww heck...i can't make that work...we don't tolerate everything and we judge people based on our own morals and values just like normal people, some of us do more, some of us do less...

Some of the people who are close to me outside of this "lifestyle" are for more tolerant of what I share than many within the "lifestyle."  I'm convinced we are no more tolerant a group of people than any other.  If anything, there seems to be a lot of comparison, "better-than" thinking (ie; "You do that???  Wow, well we don't do that.") and intolerance.

We are only more tolerant of view's similiar to our's normally.
Try saying something that goes against the grain of "group think" or "group
approval" around here.
LOL
You will soon find out how tolerant we are.

Have you seen the ever popular bashing? normally called a Bar-BQ or something like that.
Many around here can be vicious, mean, intolerant, nasty and brutal.

I understand that some things work better for some people-even if I do not like them myself. I try not to see tham as "wrong".

What I find myself judgemental of is hypocrasy- when a person claims to be something that really doesn't fit any consensus..............like a "slave" who wants to control everything.

I guess I just get frustrated with things I see as irrational.

When i first saw this thread, i thought "are you kidding me?"  i agree with Owned, we are so judgmental, we judge those that are judging.  The thing is, imo, every single person judges every single day of their lives one way or another.  What do we do?  We who are so special because we don't do vanilla...we who are so special because we can take x amount of pain or my humilation is better than yours.  We as a group, in this forum, are very intolerant.

There is little consensus here regarding certain definitions, "slave" being one of them.  Also, try to remember that everyone is in a different place on their path - a different stage in their learning.  When I look at myself one and two and dear god three years ago, my behavior as a slave was shameful in some areas.  We learn to crawl before we can walk, and often can't see the bigger picture of what we might become while we're still trying to balance on two legs.

Seems 100% the same to me.  People are people.

It is possible, yes.  My Master learned me, when I did not even know me.  He then taught me how to learn myself.

I'm definitely hard to shock. But does that make me more tolerant? Or just jaded?

hard core jaded.
Sort of like the room filled with serial killers, I am sure they are rarely shocked by
each other.
Does not being shocked equal being more tolerant? NO

I find it pathetic that even the most perverted of perverts are often the least accepting.
Ironic might be a better word.
