Fuel air bombs have limited uses, and they are pretty much a non issue between nations that have nukes.  If I were Chechan, I might be worried about this.

I'm not an expert, but I do read.  I think we have really fucked up our relations with Russia.  I blame both Clinton and Bush for this.  Russia is desperately trying to show it's strength, and it has a right to be upset over NATO expansion.  NATO should have been disbanded after the end of the Cold War.  But really, we both have nukes.  If we ever went to war with each other, that is what I would be worried about.  Fuel air bombs are huge, and you have to drop them out of slow moving aircraft.  They are very effective against countries like Afghanistan or rogue provinces like Chechnya.....countries that don't have air forces.

fuel air bombs are simply an answer to the massive carpet bombings like in vietnam, same amount of devestation half the cost, i kinda think that if you wanted to make a country crumble spend the same amount of money on sniper teams, bye bye morale

Larger yields for Russian bombs than US ordinance is nothing new.  It's how they compensate for lower accuracy.  MOAB is satellite guided.

I agree.
The *sole reason* for Nato's being doesn't even exist anymore.
Why are we good at getting "into" things but so bad at getting "out of" things like that?
