since i was told by the thread starter on the other recently started pet peeve thread that she didn't want to tackle any more pet peeves, i thought i would ask:

whats your pet peeve?
big or little...
day to day or once in a while...
annoying or makes you want to smack them with a branch from the un-ignorance tree

heres the ones i have thinking about today...

God Bless America....when did God sign an endorsement contract with America? but i think i adressed this the other day...

Any story that starts with, "you think thats 'something', let me tell you...." Well...stop...shut the fuck up...anything you say after that is just going to be an attempt to trivialize or mimimalize someone else's story or experience...whether its a war vet, a medical professional, a drug addict, a parent, a teacher, a lifestyler, someone you meet on the street, or anyone else...its a sign of one up manship...

And last but not least...people that assume they know everything about you based on the image you present in a specific "forum"...whether it be these message boards, a chat room, school, church, munches, whatever...i am rarely my entire self in one place...yes i censor myself...cause i won't say whatever is in my head wherever i am whenever i want...i won't tell people here intimate details of my personal life (there is so much more than i post here)...i won't tell people at church about my kinky sex life...i could...but i choose not to...do they know me? yes...do they know everything about me, no...does that stop us from being able to form intimate (not sexual...thats another pet peeve btw, intimate does not mean sexual) caring relationships? no...jeeeze...

next?

dirty stinky sponges when I go to wash dishes, cause someone else left them wet to molder, and when I go to get a cup and it's clean but it stinks because the dish towl that someone put down, has been left to be wet dried wet again and re airdried, till finally, yes it's moldered, and your clean cup stinks from being left upside down on it. When I go to the linnen cabnit grab a wash cloth and it stinks like hell cause it's been left along with other piles of laundry in the wash machine to dry in a wadded clump. When my mom rips open a package and puts it back half openin the freezer, then next time I want said item it's got freezerburn and tastes nasty. Come on now. It takes less than 3 minutes to properly open a package, why do you have to rip it half open, and if you do, then it takes less than three minutes to wrap it in tin foil or saran wrap, it's not rocket science, wrap any open packages up before putting back in.

When she cooks fish it stinks up the entire house for hours, I hate fish, and then she'll like leave the dirty pan on the stove for ever untill someone else gets tired of it and wash's it. I came back from PEtaluma, one time, and the entire house REEKED, cause mom left the dirty fish pan on the oven for 2 weeks.

It's also a pet peeve of mine when people fill the sink up full of water and dishes then walk off for days and leave the water to turn dirty and scummy and there's rings of slime all over the sink and it smells awful and you can't bear it, but it'd be worse to put your hands into it.

i can help you with the first half of the first one...i know what they are doing....they are either going left or right (depending on which turn signal they leave on) around the world...makes sense now, huh? forgive them for their confusion and contribute it to dementia when they change lanes the other direction....

the last one...umm....well....move far far away and change all contact information and don't tell her or anyone that will tell her...best i can offer you.....

ewwies...i have cleanliness requirements too, especially with mold...no one around here understands...oh and standing water in the sink with food in the standing water...makes me vomit in my mouth just to look at it...who ever left it has to dump it before i will do dishes...eggs and milk are really bad...i would rather scrub dried eggs than have to empty moldy egg water *swallows the vomit that just came up thinking about it*...if only i had shoulder length calving gloves to do the dishes with....

*Deep breath*

Those little dumbass gnat no-see-um bugs, especially when I'm out on the patio and they commit suicide in my wine. Where's the sense in that?!! Take your little bug issues and lack of anything to live for and get the hell away from my wine!!!

Well I don't drink much bugs...many bugs...except I probably do because you can't always see the...no-see-ums. Little bastards! The dogs' dish is right.over.there. And my pets don't have, uh, peeves so they won't mind at all. Or the pool! Head for the pool if you must drown yourself--much more liquid to bug surface to make a clean job of it. But no. You gotta plunge yourself into my glass of cab sauv or pin noir or whatever and ruin EVERYTHING.

Wait a minute...is that why they do it?? Are they trying to become little spayed and neutered gnats and are lacking in veterinary options? They're looking to recreate but not procreate? Hmmmm. Now I've got a little respect for 'em.

Oh hell no...outta my wine!

The word "supposably." It's not a fucking word!!! Say it with me.... supposedly. i know, it's no big deal, but when your boss keeps saying it over and over and over, and you can't tell them they sound like an idiot, cuz they're your boss, and it just irks..... *breathes* ok, i'm ok now, really.

Let's see, what else....

When someone cuts you off in traffic, just to slow down....
Or when they ignore the fact that YOU had the right of way, and then flip you off...
People who blare their crappy music out of their car so loud it makes your car shake...
People who spit their gum on the sidewalk...
People who wear too much perfume, or not enough deodorant...
People who yell into their cell phones for no reason, especially in public...
Customer service reps who barely speak english, and then get pissed at ME because i can't decypher their jibberdyjabbering

Ok, so i'm easily peeved lol

People that use "text speak" for things other then a text message. Even then it annoys me but I can understand the point of it. You are on a computer, you have a whole keyboard right in front of you, spell how whole words. The one that irritates me the most is "U". How hard is it to spell how Y O U. Three letters. Or Y O U R, four letters. Y O U ' R E, 5 letters and an apostrophy, now that is a little more challenging but can still be done. I refuse to respond to CMail here where that is how things are typed.
