You are ever so awesome.

And you're right. Not enough people know what declawing means. It's horribly cruel.

My furball Gizmo eats everything. And I mean he eats it... chopsticks... clothing... toilet paper... I don't know if he's just incredibly playful or if he figures he's lacking quite a bit of fiber in his diet. He may just be a space ball. But I'll keep buying socks and trying to hide them from his jaws of doom. But just because he eats everything in sight doesn't mean I want to get rid of my little trash compactor. He's just too darned cute.

That's pretty funny! Otis and Daisy don't eat anything but Iam's dry food. Unless they secretly order anchovy pizzas when I'm not around. They do manage to kill the obnoxious critters that occasionally (rarely) sneak into the house. They kill things that scare the shit out of me...like vinegaroons...ever see one of those ugly mothers? Centipedes and scorpions, too. That kind of worries me, but I guess it's okay. The dead monsters are always found intact, so I know they're not munching, just killing.

Recently Gizmo seems more and more curious about being outside. I worry about him eating certain critters too. He loves catching and munching spiders and flies when he can find them in the house. Outside I'm sure bees will catch his attention. And our garage is a black widow haven.

What is your town doing for Daisy Day? A parade? Fireworks? Both? Maybe a quiet, dignified ceremony? Will libraries and public offices be closed?

Just curious.

I keep trying to persuade the governor to make it a Californian holiday... but I can't understand a word he says.

Is Daisy day a real day in the Usa? I read your first post how you said you found a kitten but some of the more later posts and made me question it..

Of course it's a real day...for me...and for a few forward-thinking folks here. I figure that if the greeting card industry can create a holiday (Mother's Day) and get it nationally accepted, why can't a bunch of freaks from a BDSM website do the same?

I dunno...the day I found her was a joyous day for me but maybe it shouldn't be celebrated. I mean, where were her siblings? Already dead? I hate thinking about that, but I can't help it. I live in a town where many hundred of cats and dogs are killed by the city every year. Nice animals that no one wants. And how many just die "out there"?

July 27th...that's the day...this Wednesday.
