I know someone that has a heart shaped paddle. I believe it is made out of heart wood or red heart wood. The paddle part is shaped like a heart, probably 6x5 and the handle is rounded and wavy. I wish I had a picture to post, but I don't.
I have been assigned the task of finding one just like it. Unfortunately the person that owns it does not remember where he bought the paddle.
I have tried to a few searches and came up with something close but its not the same thing. I am coming up totally inept on this one, any ideas on sites where I could find something similar if not the exact same would be greatly appreciated.

I got one just like it at an IML table, a few years ago, during Memorial Day weekend. Heartwood Whips is who I thought sold it, but they did mostly floggers, only a few of these were out. Perhaps you should consider making a drive to the vendor market next year? It's an amazing time.

Thank you all for your help, I have looked at the sites and they seem to be what I was looking for.
I plan to make it the IML vendors one day soon. I think it would be blast, have heard many great things.

I highly recommend Paddles by Walt--he handcrafts each one, his woods are exquisite, prices are very reasonable and he does take custom orders. His wife Linda provides excellent customer service and can answer any questions you might have--he has a purple wood (from Africa) that you might like--I believe he has done custom heart shapes. well this thread is from 2007. =p i feel like a dork because i wrote her a message, but i figure i'll take this opportunity to shamelessly plug a friend of mine who does excellent work. =p
i'm attaching a picture of a paddle he made of pre-ban brazilian rosewood. he does spectacular work -- if anyone's interested, i can pass on his contact info.
