Is this someone you've actually met or someone you're talking to online? Not that it makes much difference in my response.. How to get Her to know you're "real" and "serious"? by BEING real(istic) and serious(ly yourself). By attending local lifestyle events...getting to know people as people first, not expecting someone to just "Domme" you from the first "hello". Be attentive in conversations but don't drool over every word out of her mouth. Add more information to your profile (fully fill out the survey, add your experience, your limits etc.), add a good picture of yourself (if you are able to), and go out to local events (if possible for you.)

Are you spending time interacting in real time in the real world. Or are you just hanging out on the computer? Find local munches and events. Make yourself available to help. Don't arrive with the "hook-up tonight or it ain't worth my time" look in your eyes. Be clean and neat. Be attentive, be open about yourself, and be willing to listen and learn. They will notice you quick enough.

Well first, you need to get the handbook. Then you need to apply for your Twue Submissive card.... and then.... In all seriousness, just be yourself. Check out local munches, bar nights, kinky conferences, play parties, mailings lists, et cetera. Network. Network a lot. Figure out what it is that you like, and what it is you have to offer. What you have to offer probably should consist of more than a laundry list of fetishes. What makes you interesting, what makes you distinguishable? Network some more, and remember that you are dealing with real people and that there is more to these people than simply kink. That is, don't expect that you will magically find someone to play with you right away, unless you want to go to the pro sessions route, because relationships (friendships, play partners, M/s, D/s, whatevah) take time to build. I can't ever say enough about getting out to the lifestyle events in your area. Believe it or not, most people don't find what they are looking for just by sitting in front of their computer screen. The net is a great tool, but the real world is still out there.

First you have to know what you can offer and then you have to know what situation would make you happiest. Then go back and check your answers to those two to see if you're being realistic. Do you demand too much and offer too little? Then ask yourself what it takes to make any other relationship work and figure out if you're ready for all of that with a woman who will make more demands on you than anyone else in your life ever has. If all you really want are a few hours of kinky fun then be honest about it and find someone who wants the same (although you should be prepared to make a monetary contribution to such a woman).

Lots of great suggestions. I think drive and consistency is the fundamental key, the flippant and flaky come and go, someone who shows real determination gets noticed. This takes time, it wont happen instantly. Also knowing what you want, and what you have to offer. Lots of research (as well as experience) will help you decipher this. Try local munches.
