I would like opinons on this. I had surgery on both hands for carpel tunnel. Now, I am looking for cuffs that I can safely use and not mess up my wrists again. What are some sugesstions?

I have had surgery on both of mine also. I have found that the ones that bother my hands the least are very wide leather cuffs, preferably the ones that extend up into the hand with something to grip....suspension cuffs are great. The ones that seem to bother me the most are metal cuffs or the thinner leather varieties. Rope also does not generally work well for me. Whatever style you choose be sure to communicate the issue to your partner and keep them aware of any numbness.

I would think suspension cuffs would work nicely for those with carpal tunnel syndrome.

As mentioned above cuffs that extend over the palm and have something to grab on work well and is what we recommend to customers. This type aleviates pressure on the inner wrist and the 'handle' allows you a bit of self-rescue pull when your hands and arms start tingling.

Note: Use this or any type of cuff/restraint for overhead suspension at your own informed risk. Overhead suspension by the hands causes strain that the rotator cuff was not made to handle.

i am with mistoferin on all she said sultry, i had both hands done too. The only thing i would add, and i have not found mine yet, are lined suspension cuffs. i seem to find that the lining prevents a lot of the moving around a cuff might otherwise do. Also prevents rubbing as well. For me, i'm just more comfortable. i realize it's summer, lined cuffs will be warmer, as i said i have not investigated the different kinds yet.

Our padded suspension cuffs have proven a good choice for two different persons with wrist problems.

There is a company, I foget the name, who makes "Sport Cuffs". They are lined for comfort and the fastener is velcro. The velcro alows for a persise fit where as a buckle doesn't. these are not full BDSM items but for someone who has has their wrists operated on, this my be a good choice.

2 Cuffs

Here's a site that has two styles, both lined. These are the style we have (the bottom one) except they aren't lined. I don't have carpal tunnel syndrome, but for longer playtime, they are much more comfortable than any of our other sets of cuffs. That top pic looks interesting as well...with or without suspension.
