From Yahoo Dating, advice to men on how to contact women online ...

It applies very well to Collarme also.

Missing the don't send pictures of your dangling bits, don't send messages saying kneel bitch, don't ask immediately if she has a cam. Probably a lot more we can add to it, but a good basic lesson. The sad thing is that people really need to be told these things.

RRafe -> RE: Some Sage Advice ... (9/16/2007 7:16:36 AM)

It's sad that basic respect no longer seems to be a dating prefference.

I agree with all the above.  But, I think the most important thing of all is missing.  You must READ her ad before you actually respond to it.  This wastes your time in writing people who you know wont want to talk with you from thier ad, and thier time having to read yet another moronic email that is in no way what you seek.  I think this is very important, probably the most important thing.

5. Don't ask her if she wants to have sex with you on the second email exchange, and don't send her dirty pictures of you. I think this covers dangly bit photos ... don't you?

KatyLied -> RE: Some Sage Advice ... (9/16/2007 7:32:02 AM)

More rules:

Don't be under the impression that "Hi" or "Where do you live" are good introductory emails
Don't ask if she IM's in your first email

I could go on but those are the ones that drive me nuts.

UR2Badored -> RE: Some Sage Advice ... (9/16/2007 7:41:16 AM)

Thanks Feastie
I think I will send that link to people who breaks those etiquette suggestions listed.

Katylied:  Those two drive me nuts, too.
Offering a "hi" seems to imply I have nothing interesting to say, and it will take me three or more weeks to get a sorted topic like the weather.
Where do you live and by that I mean a specific town or city or such. I posted what I am comfortable to reveal to random strangers.

I have to admit that I am an a culprit to many of my problems with unwanted email on CM.  I dont like having the red bold CM message of having new emails.  (Though my regular account I could care less)

mefisto69 -> RE: Some Sage Advice ... (9/16/2007 8:38:49 AM)

Nope - nope. Something's wrong here. My opening line, " nice shoes, wanna fuck?", has worked 3 times on collarme already !

feastie -> RE: Some Sage Advice ... (9/16/2007 8:41:02 AM)

Rosy Palm doesn't count, mefisto.

sapphirepleasure -> RE: Some Sage Advice ... (9/16/2007 8:50:07 AM)

Oh, and, as a matter of principle, I never respond to any mail from someone with '69' in their screenname. :)  Just sayin'.
