Don't forget that there are a lot of people out there too who don't even identify as being bisexual but will fool around with members of the same sex, etc... There are so many accepted definitions of sexuality now that I think that plays a big role in it. I don't really like the word bisexual or the connotations it carries but for the strict definition of it, it somewhat suits me. So... I don't know. I like being free to experiement in my sexuality without totally putting a label on myself (as trite and played out as that sounds!!!!!) I think this hit the nail on the head for me. If we were all 'allowed' to be who we are from the get go, I think a lot more people, male and female alike would find themselves in the 'other' category. Even though it sounds like a cliche, it doesn't matter much to me what your gender/ethnicity/etc are, what matters is how we connect. Women, even if they call themselves straight, can appreciate the beauty of the female form and mind. Does that make them bi? Men can look at other men and appreciate physical and mental qualities that they admire. Does it make them bi too? If bisexuality is defined solely on sexual relationships, then the next question should be why are we having sex in the first place. For those of us who choose intimacy over plain intercourse, the labe 'Bi' would seem insufficient. Any thoughts?
