Viewing percentages (Full Version)

Rule -> Viewing percentages (9/17/2007 8:08:32 AM)

I put myself into the category male dominant.
 
I took a look at my "Who is viewing me page". Only 61. Some stumbled onto my profile accidentally, I am sure - and probably immediately hid it from their search.
 
I am interested in the why's of the percentages that I found:
 
SF - 43 %
DM - 21 %
SM - 18 %
DF - 15 % (Including Moderator11)
Couples - 3 % (One of them is my only admirer.)
 
Are SFs in the majority because they searched for a male dominant and they accidentally stumbled onto my profile, or because they are more active in the forums, or for another reason?
 
What do you think?
 
Perchance some of you also have a fascination with percentage trivia. If so, what are your percentages?

you only have one admirer? post pictures...you will get a huge amount of perverts who "admire" you so they have something to whack off to...or does that only work for girls?

I suspect that when I post pictures CM will be deluged by complaints from angry guests that demand that the profile of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) be removed. [:(]

hmmm... well, i know that it's not completely accurate; as there are quite a number of names that i've seen on "who's viewing me" that are not there anymore; so i wonder how often the information is refreshed

i have 66 on my list and i'm rounding and not dealing with decimals and stuff

Female Dominants - 14%
Male Dominants - 18%
female submissives - 47%
male submissives - 20%
couples - 1%

haven't compared to my admirer's list, but none really stood out while i was counting colors

Those figures are similar to mine. That may indicate that either female submissives / slaves are more active on the forums, or that they are more curious, or something else.

I'm going by color because I'm lazy and don't feel like clicking on every light colored profile to differentiate sub/slave and switch.

dark blue ~40%
light blue ~40%
pink 15%
red <5%
purple <1%

Category Total: 73

Admirers (that I have not hidden)

light blue 50%
dark blue 36%
pink  6%
purple 6%
red 2%

Category Total: 50 users

~52% light blue
~38% dark blue
~10.5% pink
~3% red
~3% purple

Subtotal: 123 users

Admirers that I've hidden (no color depth on that tab):
male: ~89%
female: ~6%
couples: ~6%

~85% male
~11% female
~4% couples

Total: 214

Unless you actually clicked through every single one to determine their orientation, light colored may be in the majority because that actually encompasses multiple groups: bottoms (sub/slave) and switch. Switches range all over the scale, such as myself, who identifies more as a "versatile top".

At a glance, though, all switches look like bottoms by the color system here. The confusion that it causes annoys the piss out of me, let me tell ya.

That is interesting and very different from the earlier viewing percentages: a strong interest by the opposite sex that is indifferent to the dominance spectrum, some interest by female submissives and slaves and switches and scarcely any interest by female dominants.

Submissive female =   3%
Dominant Male =        10%
Dominant Female =     4%
 
Here are my "admirer" percentages:
 
Submissive male =   94%
Submissive female =  3%
Dominant Male =         0%
Dominant Female =    3%

Those are also very different percentages, missT. There is a clear interest by the opposite gender with twice as much interested dominant males as s males, some interest from s females and scarcely any interest from female dominants.

Again very different percentages for you MFT. A huge interest from s males, some interest from dominant males and scarcely any interest from females irrespective of their bdsm dominance spectrum. And here the cat comes out of the bag: female dominants are such a scarce commodity that they do not have to search - they possibly do not even have time to search. That is why there is a scarcity of female dominants on the Who is viewing me page of other people - and because female dominants themselves are scarce. (I ought to be able to determine the percentage of female dominants by using the search function of course.)

34%  Dominant Male      (25)
8%   Submissive Trans    (6)
5%   Submissive Female   (4)
3%   Dominant Female     (2)
 
Oddly enough, only one of the dominant males had submissive trans in their actively seeking list, and none of the submissive males did.

won't how long you've been a member and whether you are on the forums, how often you are online and pop to the top, if you journal and if you have a picture play into this?  too many variables for this information to be useful/accurate, in my opinion....having said this....

I have lots of male subs, several female subs, a few male dominants, a few more female dominants viewing me.  I have pages and pages of admirers and people who subscribe to my journal

Earthycouple has a point about variables.  The variables throwing my viewing percentages off the most likely have to do with a pic in my profile being perv-able to those just looking at images.  Given the amount of mail I get (low), this is inevitably disappointing to my largely straight male audience lol.
