After reading a recent thread on Public Humiliation and some of the responses, I would love to get your take on some play I enjoyed in the past. Do you think it inappropriate or acceptable?

Some years ago when I was still happily married the wife and I, who was very dominate, would go backpacking on the Ozark trail deep in the woods of Missouri. We very seldom would see another human for days. She got a kick…and so did I… of having me hike in the buff. There was always the chance that we would meet someone around the next bend and I guess that was the fun of it all. In fact on a few occasions we did and I had to run in the woods full of poison ivy and blackberry stickers to hide or get dressed. I think this was harmless and we did get a good laugh.

We are also of the age where streaking was a fade of the past. Two in the morning one party night with like friends we all decided to strip naked and run around the neighborhood block.

More recently I met a Domme who likes to walk me naked on a leash around a deserted park late at night after it is closed. I will tell you that it was my idea...as you can tell I like public nudity…but it is the chance of discovery not the discovery that is erotic to me. I would never want to embarrass unsuspecting people or heaven forbid meet children. I only do such things where I can hide or escape if I were to meet people and in an area where I would not expect to see children.

In my mind I separate being a flasher from what I like…I do not seek people out but I do put myself in a situation where there is always that slim chance someone may see me. Maybe I am just fooling myself. Love to hear what you all think…maybe…lol

there are nude beaches and resorts where nudity is openly accepted. but then what would be the thrill of being naked when everyone else expected it and participated in it.. *laughs*

The danger(wrong word) is the arrest, conviction, and permnant record, especially if picked up in a park way. It can affect your employment, housing, etc.

look at the public humilation to Sen. L. Craig in Idaho, for foot tapping and... all that nonsense... It can affect family, community and as the saying goes.. "non man is an island". the choices one makes affects others around them.

i have experience with it and that's about as far as i'll go in explaining that.  i don't think the risk is worth it.  If i am out in a park i do not want to be with my um's and have to explain a naked man on a leash to them, nor should i have to. i would be fuming!  What you did might have seemed harmless but what if some kids came running around that bend (kids do that run fast you know) and they saw you.  So you could have a little fun and thrills you could expose others who did not consent and were entitled to expect NOT to see what they saw. Just not fair in my book.  If nudity gives you a thrill go to a bdsm club and strip down - at least it's accepted there and it's stil public nudity.

unless it's a special event why would you have your kids in the park after closing, after dark when they should be inside? He's talking about doing this at an hour when children should be in their homes, probably asleep.

Should? You're going to take a chance on a should??  It's not unfathomable that a um might be there - you never went to a late night keg party in the park after sneaking out of the house around midnight?

i also think you forgot he wrote this:

i don't think it was harmless, i think you took a chance and were lucky, if it were me you ran into with my um's you would have  been tossed in that poison ivy bush.

Actually I have known a few parents who take their kids to the park at night.  One set does it because their children have sun allergies and it is the only time they get to play in the park.  The other is a mother who works odd hours and takes her kids to the park when she can.  Often between the hours of 8-10 pm.  Not the best time, imo, but it works for them and the kids are doing well.
You just never know.  Plus.. there are the homeless contingent.  Did you know some of them have kids?

The idea and the thrill are exciting, but the "risk" of being arrested isn't worth it to me doing it in a place where it's not allowed or accepted.  I have no issues doing it on a nude beach or in a BDSM club - or anywhere it's okay - where it's public and people can see me naked.  I've done it many times before, and even though it's accepted and you're not sneaking around, it's still fun to walk around totally naked.  I would suggest doing it that way - better to be safe than sorry - as people will still be able to look at your naked body.

Thank you all for answering…I expected the basic theme of the responses because they are of course proper and true. I have no defense for my perversion but do my best to control it. It is not a everyday or month thing for that matter...just once in a great while.
It is appreciated to have thoughtful answers that are not hypocritical in nature. But be assured I do try to limit the risk…especially to children of which I have never seen. When I hiked in the buff it was off common trails in areas too dangerous for children. And the time in the park is on moonless nights after mid-night and only on rare occasions. Still I do understand it is a perversion that needs to be controlled.
Thanks again Butch

For what it matters, I admittedly love some naughty public stuff, especially nudity.  However, I keep those times in clearly 'off the beaten path' areas in the wilderness, both for safety and for discretion.

As I mentioned in my introduction I used to do this as a kid and teenager. The game for me was to undress and see how far away I could get from my clothes before the fear sent me running back to them. The adrenaline rush pushed me farther and farther away each time. As I got older the fear of getting caught finally allowed me to break the habit and I am so thankful I did.My family doesn't need the humiliation of me getting caught.

I still dream of doing it sometimes. Out in the open... nude... walking farther and farther away from my clothes....

Nope, I never did. I never snuck out, at any time, day or night. I wasn't the type of kid to be interested in keggers and sneaking out. now when I went into a group home after reporting my abusers for their abuse, I did run away, but it wasn't to party it was to get away from a place I disliked.

I actually wouldn;t agree to being out in public naked unless it was a nudity sanctioned place, I just had the question.

If i saw a naked man being led on a leash and I was with my munchkin, I would have 9-1-1 on the line, reporting lude behaviour and be pissed as hell. I would probably get on the boards and bitch about it hoping that that person after being arrested saw my post and realized the trouble he was in and know that its not acceptable.  I have a photographic memory so I'm sure I could give the list a decent description.

I HAVE taken my child out at night, we enjoy watching shooting stars and stargazing or looking for planets and that sorta thing, so for us to be out at night, it does happen.

On occassion, I do go to nude or topless beaches, where its allowed, NO children are present or allowed at such places, so its fine, no harm no foul, yet, what the OP says make me as a parent livid and bothered.

You know, snakes like to live in just the sorts of places you mentioned, and naked soft warm mammal flesh smells pretty tasty to them.  Among other critters.  It's Not Too Bright to tempt them in this manner.

I think you're fooling yourself if you think you won't wind up on a sex offender registry eventually.

Exhibitionism is exciting, even fun...but it is sooooo not worth the jail time.

If the guy was a member on here, and was acting in an illegal manner, others should be notified. Maybe its just me, but, inaproprate things like walking arund in a public place nude on a leash, its not honourable or approprate. That gives vanillas a reason to stereo-type or at least gives them a place of referance to form conclusions, inapproprate behaviour makes us ALL look bad. A few bad apples cause a lot of trouble at times.
