Sappa she was caught in a trafic trap and said the officer wrote the wrong thing on her ticket, now I used the wrong word it wasn't the make of the car.

I'm sorry, without seeing evidence of your assertions, I cannot either comment on the OP's predicament or offer unsolicited advice. I do not see where, in the original post, she states that she "was caught in a trafic trap and said the officer wrote the wrong thing on her ticket". I'm asking you to provide the proof so I can make my own judgements here, based upon what she and you have written.

Maybe it wasn't you then, but there was someone asking if they could get out of a ticket, because a cop made a mistake on their ticket. If it wasn't you then I apologize, they had the same avitar as you and I sometimes make the mistake of asociating an avitar with a said person.

Different person, different avatar, thread is still on page one on the same forum.

Fight it. Got the officer's name? If you have a name and a city, you can get an address... If you can get an address, you can make sure someone misses a court date... or so says my cousin Rocco

I'm curious as to what this "last thread" is that you're referring us to. If you've got a link that you could post for all of us to use, that would be great, because I see nothing in this thread that indicates that the OP stated that the ticket was mis-written with the auto's make.

Thank you.

Again, that was me. I was pulled over last week and the police said I was in a chevy truck mistakenly when I'm in a ford taurus. Now it's just getting funny that Yourhandmyass has it all confused.

Wrong again. If you think our avatars look the same, I highly suggest an eye exam.

I got a ticket for running a stop sign.

The officer wrote down the wrong street intersection.  The one he wrote down had no stop sign my direction.

The city planner gave me the street plan, which I took to court.

The judge looked at the ticket.  Looked at the plan.  Asked the officer if he could have made a mistake (under oath) and the officer agreed it was possible.

Case dismissed.

To Fight or Not to Fight that is my Question.  I recently got a speeding ticket.  I was clocked in at 78 in a 55.  In NY this is a 6 point violation. On my license I already have 3 points for a previous ticket.  Usually I drive the speed limit not sure what happened lol....I will for now on obeys the rules of the road..   I spoke to my lawyer who told me he has a 50-50 chance of winning.  Nice I thought !  Also told me how much my insurance is going to go up.   Thing is I could have him go fight for me pay him a couple of hundred.  Or should I go myself and face the judge?  Anyone ever deal with this?? HELP!

I got a speeding ticket in New York not too long ago.  I went to court on my own.  Since I have a clean record, the charge was reduced to a parking violation.  The fine was still $150.00- but no points.

Hell, as long as you're paying attention while driving I guess no one can fault you. But if you really thought our avatars look the same maybe you shouldn't be driving?  ;)

Thank you petdave, for sharing the link to the referenced thread. I'm sure YHMA thanks you too for confirming that she, in fact, did see this thread.

I am sorry that you were confused with someone else by two people. First, the police officer who gave the ticket to you when it should have obviously gone to that Chevy pickup driver. ;)

Second, by YHMA who confused you with this thread's OP, divi, due to similar avatars. I cannot comment on how that came to be, but it apparently did. ;)

I hope you were, or are in the process of, settling your ticket satisfactorily.

Oh, Ocilla... that's too funny, your adaptation of that song for divi. :D

Now I've got this vision of divi running down the road with a Spridle-like substitute hiding in her car's trunk. I wonder if she's got a Trixie-like person hovering above in a helicopter, keeping an eye on her. If she doesn't, she might want to consider it. :)

Thanks for sharing, Ocilla.

You got took. You paid out - that's all they want.

But maybe you can justify it as a win-win: they got payday, you don't get those points against insurance.
