Termyn8or -> General Motors (open flame valve) (9/18/2007 2:59:41 PM)

This is somewhat screwing around and somewhat serious. What the fuck do you Ford and Chrysler car owners have to say for yourself ? My neighbor has a Chrysler and I swear it sounds as if it is going to fall apart as the starter cranks. You get the quality of a cheap import yet pay top buck. I bet in six months it'll be burning oil and they will have to bribe the guy at the inspection station. Ford cars are ridiculous, Everything is round. This thing has four tires, so isn't it logical that it be square. What are these people dense ? If it had three fucking wheels I could see it being round. GM is getting just as bad though, in later years. Any auto engineers in here ? If so, PUT SOME FUCKING FENDERS ON THE CAR ! Goddammit, you put everything 0.00000000003" from the works so that fucking nobody can work on it, and then the driver can't even see the hood. And put a fucking hood on the car. How the hell is my radiator supposed to get air if it is in a plastic bubble ? Gimme this air resistance shit, we only drive up to about 80 MPH here, and usually in a traffic jam, fuck that issue. If we are going to perpetually drive on fucked up roads in this country, can we get a car that can handle it ? I am sick of the engines falling out of my car. (well it only happened once) And Americans drive like shit, so WE NEED BUMPERS on the cars. Damn, if you are an auto engineer, didn't you drive to work ? Look at those idiots, they NEED bumpers. Hell I need bumpers because of them. Anyway, I must note one exception, Ford trucks. They are very well built, albeit with a very fucked up set of problems, but I can't fault that, GM has it's share. I just can't believe what people will drive, I have seen cars going down the street that I swear if they ran me over (if they could) would suffer more damage than I would. And my buddy's Ram Dodge full size pickup truck hits a little shitcan and suffers thousands in damage. My other buddy's Ford truck had a similar accident and the bumper cover was damaged. Yes, there is a real bumper under the bumper cover, so the solution is to simply omit the bumper cover. We are thinking of buying it. (the air works) Best cars are late 80s to mid 90s GMs. The ones with the 3.8 L. You can touch each spark plug with your hand. In most models you can see the ground when you open the hood. Not much of it, but some. Come on, give me a new car with real fenders (bolted on, not duct taped) and a real hood. Give me doors that are not so swept back that it rips my lips off when I close the front door. That, working air and wipers that don't chatter, I think you'll have a winner. I would buy one. My only other choices are a 1970 Olds Toronado, or a Buick roadmaster from the 90s. Other than that, I'll just keep what I have. I try not to offend, but there have been times when I used the phrase "What's this ?" or "Where's the rest of your car ?". Maybe I am just getting too old. I remember cars as monstrous things, incredibly fast and dangerous. I miss that. T
