Yeah, but the machines have been PROVEN to be laughably insecure, in testing by the State of California.

Just like the group of Princeton computer majors that was able to crack every brand of voting machine they got their hands on. That was all over NPR about a year ago.

republicans don`t really want clarity, or a resolution on this issue. They want everything nice and murky, and hard to understand. This way, when they steel an election, they can claim that no one really knows the truth.

I still think scantron ballots are the best. They arn't too expensive. They count fast. And it leaves a paper trail.

Nothing is going to be fraud-proof. People have been fixing elections since ancient times.

Not to say that Farg would distort the facts of this, but is there any sort of story with checkable facts about this?  So far not a single thing has actually been said, just a general accusastion.

I like the machines we have in Alaska, the Opti scan, fill in the oval type, it leaves a paper trail and is fast reporting.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in Rolling Stone a few months ago talked about it in great detail and gave sources.

Enjoy!

The politicians nephew wrote a scholarly piece that passed the standards of Rolling Stone, oh my bad.  He is the same one who wrote the almost entirley discredited piece about the Autism/ Vaccine link for Rolling Stone also?

So there is not an actually bill or something asking to actually test the machines.  What is the specific proposal?  And who is making it?

exit polls taken durring the day are meaningless, people vote at different times.  There is a large block of people who work durring the day, that vote in the afternoon /evening.  Also exit polls only count those who vote at the precient on the day of voting, it ignores all the absentee ballots.  Which there has been an increase in the use of over the past 3 cycles.  Fox news is run by a cousin of Bushes?

That's true, I worked at the polls one year in New Hampshire.
I noticed that most of the people who voted during the day were the elderly and retired and a few young people.
And some "community activists" and whatever drug addicts they could roundup and get to vote for an 8-ball.
After 4 pm till 8 pm it was people returning from WORK.
That's when the heaviest voting is.

That says that they need to count every ballot by hand, for them to use the machines to provide for the handicapped.

And if you read the TEST RESULTS ON THAT PAGE , it's clear that the machines themselves are a joke.

From a WTF POV, they'd be *funny* if the flaws weren't so damned pathetic and vulnerable.

I'm pretty sure that he is one and the same.

And if Diebold is so evil, how many of you have stopped using their other evil machines... like ATMs?

Which goes to show you that TPTB think a $20 bill is important enough to properly account for, but your vote isn't.

I'd like to see all of the machines canned. Use paper and pen. No chads, no machines, no electoral college.

Now there is a good amendment to the constitution!

yanno if i knew i had a customer in the end it really is quite easy to design a foolproof voting system but the ptb wont have it and it would be a big waste of my time and resources.

the main thing is to account for a recount.  (receipts)
