       I am having my surgery to remove my gall bladder 7:30 tomorrow morning (Monday) and in a way I'm excited to be out of pain and in a way I am scared-- infections, hospitals are dirty- ok, i'm a bit of a neat freak...and a worrier...I will be at South Jersey Regional Medical Center if you want to get ahold of me (Crystal Brooks) is my real name...although everyone does call me Krissi...I would lov to have some company- yeah, it's only an overnight stay but it's nice to hear from friends..thanks![:)]

*hugs* to you Krissi. Are you all set for after you get home? Stocked on groceries and stuff like that?
I will absolutely be thinking of you. I had mine done 2 summers ago so I will tell you that you needn't worry too much. Its more icky than anything.
How long will you be in the hospital?

thanku guys. i feel alot better knowing i got all my errands run..made 2 trays of stuffed shells and some lasagne so my ex doesn't have to cook..if only he can heat it up without burning it lol[&:]

I'm not sure, but I think posting personal info is against the TOS.  Regardless of that, it's not a wise idea.  Still, I hope everything goes well for you.

If you're in the hospital more than 24 hours, I recommend the following:
Chapstick type stuff.
Moisturizer.
Pony Tail holders.
If you're worried about germs maybe some anti-microbial goop will help your worries.
If you take medication find out if you can bring your own so that you don't get charged for meds you've already got.
If you plan to use your cell phone make sure it is fully charged before you go and that you know how to put it on 'vibrate' so you don't bother other patients.
Ear plugs or headphones if you share a room, egads some people snore really LOUDLY.

Best of luck to you, Krissi. You will do great, and the recovery will be much faster and easier than you expect.

Krissi, good luck today. I will be thinking of you. And now that you're gone I can say that yup I am a bit worried because of what I went through with my gall bladder surgery. So I really really hope you come through it with flying colors and no complications & that you don't wind up in a 10 day ICU stay.

You truly are in my thoughts this morning.
