justnewsub -> RE: hair removal question (10/18/2007 10:10:00 AM)

so i gave waxing a try, did it at home, and can i say OUCH!!!!  what a horrible mess... yes i'm smooth but i fel like i have been torn to bits.... i even bled where the hair was pulled out... yes i am a masochist i'll admit, and the whole time i was doing it, i was thinking of my Dom and how much he would have enjoyed watching me, but.... holy moly.... not worth it in the end, i looked even worse then when i shave..

thought of getting the Epilady but if it does the same thing as the waxing no thanks.... is it different if a professional does it?

i'm finding if i soak in the tub for a bit, then shave it eases it alot more, also to try to not wear any panties or pants for as long as possible, i then use loation... when i can't get in and soak then i use my electric razor

i do use shaving cream for sensitive skin, and a mach 3 razor that helps a ton too...

i'm glad i'm not the only one in this boat and that my Dom is patient with the messes i have been making of myself.... he wants me to get the Epilady so he can use it on me.... lol

hiya justnewsub,

hun im in the same boat as you, i never used to shave at all even my legs cos of the mess i used to get in....i first tried veet on my legs, it was called veet sensetive, and it worked the idea is to make sure you time it to the second, going over the time makes for stinging/itchy legs, and not enough means ya pulling the hair out before its time.
For my arm pits after one bad bad mistake of shaving with my hubbys blunt shaver, i got stinging pits and could not do anything for days, i was advised to use lady razor, and foam, i did so and perfect, but now i gotta shave daily to stop the hair coming back.
For my lady bits i found a shaver that trims real close, and some baby lotion that softens the hair, so now i have real soft (bum fluff) hair down there, im not brave enough yet to try the shaving.

hope this helps.

Noxema makes a shave gel that reduces hair growth. I've been using it for six months, and while it doesn't necessarily get rid of the red bumps, it's cut down on how /often/ I have to shave...which henceforth reduces the amount of times I have to itch!

It's done wonders for my legs! It'll be a week before I have to shave again!

Master333 -> RE: hair removal question (10/18/2007 2:52:39 PM)

To shave or wax or otherwise rid oneself of undesired female genital hair … that is the question.  As for this Sir, no woman, be she “vanilla” or slave, switch or submissive need ever shave, wax or in any way remove her pubic hair to impress this Sir.

I am impressed by a woman who is clean, has good personal hygiene, is healthy, has no sexually transmitted diseases and who smells good with a natural clean female “musk” with a hint of a pleasant fragrance about her body.  No obnoxiously pungent and over-powering cheap perfume should ever be used.

Pubic hair on a woman looks exotically erotic and is visually stimulating; a nice bushy genital area is so womanly looking … I have no little girl fetish.  I know that the entertainment and fashion industry governed by North America and Europe would not approve of my thoughts.  BUT, I have enjoyed the pleasures of quite a few au natural women … hhhmmmmm … YES!

Btw … those who are concerned about the build up of odor associated with urine residue around the hairy genital area, try using lovely baby wipes (after toilet time), which mothers use for their little ones and of course regular bathing & thorough washing with hot water & soap using clean wash clothes is also most helpful.

Those who think pubic hair makes a woman look unclean … my question would be, does male pubic hair make them look unclean … I do not think so.  Shave your underarms and shave your legs … but leave paradise alone  ~~~ smile ~~~

Thank You.....Thank You....Thank You Sir, for Your words, i totally agree with You on leaving the paradise alone, and general cleanliness...nothing worse than getting up close and personal then finding the pong over whelming lol.

written in total respect.

After reading about someone getting torn appart by an epilator, and then hearing some really good news about them I decided to buy one and it's working really well for me.  I could never get a really smooth shave and still got really bad razor burn.  With the epilator, skin gets red with slight bumps that last maybe an hour and go away.  It's pretty painful though, but I hear it gets better with multiple uses.

What epilator do you use? Are some better than others, or is there basically no difference? Any reviews/opinions?

Shawn1066 -> RE: hair removal question (10/19/2007 10:47:16 PM)

Waxing is easy and it doesn't hurt.  That's how I did my legs the first time.  I had it done at a nice spa, it was pretty relaxing.  Shaving was not fun for a while, but I've gotten better with it...

Nair seems to work pretty well too, but I only have limited experience with that.

*Edit: Oh I'm behind in this thread...oops.*

secretagentgirl -> RE: hair removal question (10/20/2007 2:07:41 AM)

From what I've read, there are certian types of wax that are made to NOT stick to the skin and this makes it a lot easier.
I just read about a product called the Completely Bare Wax Works (at at-home waxing kit) where the reviewer raved about the non-painful results.
It is at www.completelybare.com. for $135.

It might be best to splurge for a good salon to start the waxing, then follow up at home as it grows in.

sextoygirlNY -> RE: hair removal question (10/20/2007 6:12:57 AM)

Greetings Everyone,

Pyrrsefanie
THank you so much...COOCHY Is actually my number 1 selling product!!!

Ladies, and even gentleman let me tell you about coochy, and you tell me what you think.

Coochy is a hair conditioning lotion, used as a shaving cream. What it does is it conditions the hair follicles allowing for a smoother shave. Its rash free, fragrance free, hypo allergenic cream.  Very little goes a long way.
For women great for sensitive areas, bikini, under arms and legs. You can use it in place of your reg shave cream.
For men, this works great on conditioning beard as well. If you have a beard or goutee and just want to keep the hair soft, manageable, and kissable (you know what happens when ladies do a long lingering kiss and it feels like little spikes protruding out)...this will condition and soften the hair in general without having to shave, just to use as a softening cream.

Now, How to avoid shave bumps...
Some of this may be a repeat, but the more you hear it the more you realize that this is sound advice from other women.

1-Start off with either a very warm semi hot wash cloth to soak the area, even better, take a warm bath to open up the pores, relax the skin, also it helps relax you as well.
2-Shaving is not meant to be rushed, take your time, use it as a ritual, make it a fun time for yourself.  Rushing makes one prone to nicks and cuts.
3-Make sure you have a very sharp razor that has not been used.  IF you like disposable razors, please they are disposables throw them out after the first time, they are cheap you don't need to keep using them over and over.
Preferably use the 2-3-4 blades.  My favorite is the classic 2 blade because i feel with the 3&4 the blades start to scrape....Please do NOT use single blade..i have found them to be cheap, awful and do not cut as well.
4-Before shaving trim any excess long hair.  Shaving is meant to cut short hair, not hair that you need a  brush to manage.  trim it down to a nice short size before starting to shave.
5-When shaving, pull the skin taught, and slowly start towards the hair line, then move opposite. Do small strokes on bikini and genital area you want to focus on small patches and areas, the hair grows every which way
Men in particular on the testicles be sure you have pulled the boys taught, it can be very bumpy with a lot of ridges, easier when the blade has a level area..
6-make sure you clean the blade with every stroke. Having caked up hair or cream between the blades does not help.  Remove any excess water or build up as you shave
7-if you find the cream starts to dry off, or disappear, use more, the moisture and conditioned the cream is, the easier to shave. Keep the area warm, moist, and conditioned
8-You can go over an area multiple times, YOu dont have to "press" down to hard. The blade should be gliding against the skin not pressed that you have to "scrape" the skin
9-when finished pat the area down. There is a product also known as "coochy protection mist" which compliments the coochy very nicely as a final conditioner and prevents all the red bumpies from happening.
Depending on the type of skin you have, you will notice the first time you use these products you will have a better shave, in time, the hair will minimize and you will no longer have any bumps. In the beginning you may still have a few of them.

This was some advice, and some clarification on Coochy, I use it myself, love it better then shaving cream, and like i said it is my number 1 selling product........

if you would like more information, Please feel free to email me on the other side.......

THank you so much for this time to share this information with you.
And thank you Pyrrsefanie...another happy coochy fan!!!!  It works ladies...

Sincerely
melanie

sextoygirlNY -> RE: hair removal question (10/20/2007 6:18:31 AM)

billy,
OUCH, i know exactly what you are talking about. I used veet, and does it hurt. Unless you are into a pain aspect then i guess it will feel good.
Veet i found to be a really bad irritant on the skin, aside from that it burns like hell especially on the clitoral region....have no idea what it would feel like on a man.

I can tell you a funny story about a man i knew who tried to use Nair on the balls, and well they began to oooze with blood and puss. Turns out, it was as if it was a surface burn upon his balls, he had to soak in cold water to try to alleviate the pain. Not a pretty sight....
PS dipilatory creams such as Veet, nair, are NOT to be used on the genitals...lol

Good luck billy,
melanie

For those of us who can't afford professional hair removal, this looks like the best solution, and I'm going to stick with it, too.

I like Sally Hansen No-Heat Gel Roll-On Hair Remover.  It's "leg wax"  of the kind you roll on  directly from the bottle, then you smooth a strip of cloth down over, and pull off.  The gel itself is water soluble, so when you are  done, a warm shower gets rid of all the sticky residue (traditional waxes you have to use mineral oil to get the stickies off).

My link above is to Amazon.com's purchase page, but check your local grocery or drugstore, it's pretty commonly available.  The grocery in my rural outback quit carrying it, so I just order from Amazon, myself.  The same company also makes the "no cloth" wax-only stiff and many other products for hair removal.  But the roll-on works extremely well for me.

camille65 -> RE: hair removal question (10/20/2007 6:28:12 AM)

Argh there is no easy, cheap permanant way to go. It seems like such an easy thing...hair removal. I would love a nightly creme or moisterizer that I could rub onto the areas I don't want hair to grow. It would have no side effects and would work wonders hehe.

I had a rather unfortunate experience in the land of hair removal when I tried an EpiLady. Full story is in my CM journal, I think 3rd down.

Since that experiment I no longer hate razors... [:D]

SubJordanTyler -> RE: hair removal question (10/20/2007 10:52:30 AM)

Best thing I have found for shaving is Shave the Day shave cream from Bath and Body Works.  It's 12 bucks, so it's not exactly cheap.  But it's made with shea butter - and that just helps so much.  The razor just glides across my legs (and everywhere else) and I get almost zero irritation.  I probably don't even need to put lotion on after, although I do just to be on the safe side and keep moisturized.  I use the 3-blade Bic Soleil razor, as that seems to work great with this cream.  And I can go almost 3 days before I need to shave again.  Great stuff!!

Sexynmentalinkc -> RE: hair removal question (10/20/2007 1:48:18 PM)

Short version (after my research/experience):

Laser > wax (Brazilian, the only way to go) > shaving > nothing

I can also vouch for "Coochie Cream" (sp?), as I know of quite a few that sing its praises - though I've yet to give it a spin personally yet.

Best o' hairless luck!

I finally found something that works great!!! It's called the Hair Erazor. It is a razor just for pubic hair and works just like they say. I was skeptical but desperate after trying everything I could other than waxing which I can't afford. I was getting bumps, rashes, more ingrown hairs than I knew possible. I was in pain for the last several weeks. I got a few mild bumps from this razor but nothing compared to other razors. It also got me smoother than anything else did. [:)]

justnewsub -> RE: hair removal question (10/21/2007 12:13:10 AM)

pleasureforck - where can one find this Hair Erazor? i wonder how it would go if you combine the Hair Erazor with Coochy Cream.... hhhmmm might end pretty well....

this has really been a helpful thread!! [:)]

pleasureforck -> RE: hair removal question (10/21/2007 12:22:27 PM)

You can get it online at their website hairerazor.com
It's a dry razor. You use either powder or silicone lube. They sell a lube but I had some already so tried it and it worked so good. Better than with powder.

collegefundays -> RE: hair removal question (10/21/2007 8:41:52 PM)

Go tanning.... I had the same stiff happing to me. It all stopped and now I'm smooth and unirritated after tanning for a few weeks.

onegoodgirl -> RE: hair removal question (10/21/2007 9:30:23 PM)

Women's razors suck.

The Mach line of razors marketed towards men.. are awesome for naughty-bits..

norarc -> RE: hair removal question (10/21/2007 11:34:57 PM)

Another Mach fan, eh, onegoodgirl?  Me too, although I will admit that my hair removal regimen is limited only to my head and face, so I couldn't even begin to say anything about the special requirements for pubic hair removal.  Still, I had my own learning curve when I started shaving my head, and even the occasional cut or two, which, being head wounds, bled all out of proportion to their severity.  Still, I have the process pretty well down now, and though I have seen razors specifically marketed for shaving one's head that fit over the first and second fingers of one's hand, I still prefer my good old Mach.

I find that a little non-alcohol-based aftershave gel goes a long way towards soothing razor burn for me, and the simple process of tanning my head to match the rest of my skin, as well as repeated (weekly) shaving sessions seems to have toughened my scalp up to the point where I rarely have to worry about ingrown hairs and the like.  Of course, my hair also tends to be quite fine, whereas pubic hair tends to be of a coarser fiber, so I may have been lucky in my experience there.
