ORIGINAL: justnewsub any advise please. i have very sensitive skin and can't shave, get red bumps... tried creams... but still red bumps... any suggestions? TIA Just New Sub Here are some tips from my own experiences: 1. Take a hot shower or bath first. It opens your pores. 2. NEVER use soap. I use shaving gel with aloe or marked 'sensitive skin'. They come in a wide array of scents now. 3. Use a very sharp razor. For shaving my girly bits, I never use a blade more than twice. 4. I prefer 2- or 3-blade disposable razors. 5. If you haven't shaved in a while and the hair is longer, try to trim first. 6. Use your other hand to pull the skin taut. Hope this helps, sylph For those of us who can't afford professional hair removal, this looks like the best solution, and I'm going to stick with it, too. A couple of months ago, I tried Veet. I ended up literally screaming with pain. It was pure torture. I honestly thought I had done permanent damage to myself. It was further torture trying to get the damn stuff off. NEVER again!!! Skintimate and a fresh blade from then on.
