Not at all. Though the feelings I experience will differ depending on the feelings I have for the bottom and whether or not the bottom is a masochist or not.

I love to PLAY with pain sluts, love being sadistic but I do not have to be emotionally inlove with anyone I am playing with. However when I did have an emotional connection with someone I played with the intensity was at times greater.

Maybe someplace in between those two extremes? No, I don't need to love my bottom (unless you're referring to my ass, I love my ass), but that doesn't mean I don't permit myself to have any concern whatsoever.

From the masochist side of things, I need to feel connected to the person that inflicts pain on me. I get bonded to someone that does so also.

I do not know if I am a normal masochist, but I like to be beaten and loved at the same time. Being hit is like a caress to me.. I can feel like we are completely one when he sends me flying, and I could not fly the way I do unless I felt the love that I do for him.
