Sorry, Diurnal. I mean Hannukuh, too. Boy you all have it rough, as far as shopping. Don't you have to buy gifts for eight days in a row, for everyone? That's a LOT of shopping, IMO. Do you have to buy 8 gifts for each person in the family? or do you draw names and stuff like some of we Christmas folk do? My youngest sister suggested we draw names last year, buy then my other sister had a fit, and said she wouldn't participate, if we do that. She said it took some of the "fun" out of the Holidays. I thought that was a bit short-sighted, but didn't want to start a family fight, so I let it go, at the time. She and her hubby are loaded financially, but my youngest sister and her hubby are not. I talked to her (the loaded sister)afterward, and she re-considered, but I am not sure just what we will do this year. We usually decide that formally at Thanksgiving. I already bought lots of stuff, I don't really care, either way. But I do think we should all be considerate of my youngest sister's circumstances, and will voice my opinion out loud (very loud) this year, if need be. I don't think people should have to go into very much debt, simply to get Holiday gifts. That is completely against the "spirit of the season", IMO. Even if people seem to do it all the time. I have gotten "carried away" I guess, in the past, but not for about 5 years. Hopefully, I will keep it that way. I have a dollar limit as far as spending, for everyone on my list - and I stick to it. - Susan
