i was reading someone’s profile here and it had water sports listed. Is water sports one of those things that are still considered taboo or do more people participate in it openly now. What is it about water sports that you like or dislike? Have you participated in them in the past would you in the future?

i guess i have more than a mild interest in water sports and i am wondering how others feel about the “sport”

In my opinion just about everything involving one's sexuality is taboo, including enjoying missionary for some folks, so I'm not sure what you mean by asking that question. Plenty of people love it and practice watersports, and plenty of people still think it's gross. So boring, played out to you is edgy to someone else, and that is neither here nor there. *shrugs*

Oh, politesub ... that was a horrible pun lol

flowspen - you will get many varied answers, as M and politesub already said, but for us, it's not something that we are interested in. I'm a nurse - when I was workign in a hospital, I got more than enough urine there, and that was just with the catheter bags ... not even counting the bedpans, comodes, and wet-bed changes - now that I'm at a correctional facility, I run the risk of having urine thrown on me every time I go into one of the housing units (it's happened twice now). As a result, including urine in play is not something that I will ever do.

I know that there are those out there who love it ... but as with other things, you just have to keep looking until you find someone compatable with your interests.

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE watersports!!!! It's odd that the partner I did it with the most is someone who didn't identify with being "kinky" or in an alternative lifestyle. He just liked piss play. (I think he was just in denial though!)

In my experience it seems to be something people either love or hate. I've seen just as many people listing or stating it as a must do as those that state it as a hard limit.

One thing to add is that it's important to mutually define what is included in watersports! Some immediately assume it means piss-drinking (which I would actually "label" toilet play) ... and I don't hold with that as I don't believe regular intake of someone else's waste products is a good idea. When I have asked people who have it listed as a hard limit, that is usually the answer they have given.

For Me, pissing on someone or having them piss on Me (ie golden showers) is a more core aspect of watersports and I don't see any occ health and safety problems with that activity. I do find it incredibly intimate though and it's not something I'd do with just "any old sub!" (or any young one for that matter!). I reserve such activities (and queening, from another thread, comes into the same category for Me) as something I do only with special subs with whom I have built an intimate relationship.

It has been my experience in real time and on these boards that it is not a just assume limit but still not in the acceptable area with the likes of bondage, spanking and things of that nature.

What I like about it? Everything! I find this play done various ways to be humiliating, degrading and have a large objectification aspect. These are things I really enjoy on all levels of a power exchange relationship. I also out of a sense of false pride and a level of insecurity enjoy doing this for my Master knowing not every woman would and for me it is a strong symbol of my love and dedication to him.

Out of all the kinks I think this is the one I need personally the most in a power exchange relationship.

Isnt doing something Taboo what drives 'some' people to do it.

Water sports for Me is a way to humiliate a submissive that
thinks its humiliating.
Marking My "territory" is another way I use water sports.

Shower curtains are more durable than regular plastic,with less of a chance of getting the rug wet.
