Hope I'm posting this in the right place.

I'm looking for kink-friendly lodging in the SF Bay Area. We used to frequent House of Differences, but I understand it's no longer around. Does anyone know of other places where we can check in and play hard without bringing the neighbors and/or the law crashing through the front door?

I appreciate any and all responses. I badly need a place where I can take my Kat for the treatment she so richly deserves. [:@]

JSUT CHECK IN TO ANY OLD MARIOTT OR ECONOLOGE AND BRING YOUR OWN EYEHOOKS SO THAT YOU CAN SCREW THEM INTO THE SEALING THEY WONT CHARGE YOU FOR DAMAGEING THE ROOM OR ANYTHING IF YOU PAY THRU PIRCELINE.COM

itzelwing -> RE: Kink friendly lodging (7/23/2005 7:24:49 AM)

Thanks for the suggestion there, Lrod, but that's not quite what I'm looking for.

We've played in a lot of hotels all over the country, but they're not the most kink friendly places to stay. People tend to get upset, rightfully, when she starts to cry out or scream, or when the beatings echo off the walls. They did not consent to being exposed to our scene, if if only through the walls, and obviously many people would be quite upset at what they perceive as violence and abuse. I believe in being considerate.

As far as damaging the ceilings and walls with my own eyehooks... sorry, not my style. Where I come from, that's called vandalism and is no different than tagging or breaking streetlights. I don't care whether they make me pay or not.. somebody has to pay.

So anyway, thanks again for the suggestion. Anyone else?

You took that SERIOUSLY?

itzelwing -> RE: Kink friendly lodging (7/23/2005 12:07:49 PM)

If I ask a question looking for a serious answer, yes, I take all answers seriously. And if you were kidding, I know far too many people who would think nothing of what you suggested... and inconsiderate people are a pet peeve of mine.

Personally, while I certainly appreciate the community aspect of a web forum such as this, I didn't throw the question out as a beachball to be batted around the party... I asked because I'm in need of some information. In this particular case, I really don't have time to decide if other people are merely playing games or being serious.

I'm not like this all the time, but I do have a somewhat urgent need for a REAL answer... if there is one to be had.

So thank you for the intended smile, if you were aiming at humor, but that's not what I need right now.

Good luck, itzel.

I've heard about a bed and breakfast up there, but do not know the name of it. It may be the one you mention as being out of business, You may want to contact a local org and ask them. They're likely to know. http://www.soj.org/

Differences wasn't exactly a place that I would have ever stayed the night. Why spend 3 grand on a room? There rates were way out there.
I was sad to see it go as well. Been gone now quite a few years.
What about seeking out a dungeon? THere must be some of those up there?
I hear powerexchange has a facility. The Citadel.
Castlerealm is gone. Bagg is still around but thats more like a bar.

Caryls BDSM page should have many ideas on it.

Good luck.

itzelwing -> RE: Kink friendly lodging (7/24/2005 9:30:58 PM)

Thanks for the info.

I need something for a multi-day training session, so PE and Citadel wouldn't quite fit the bill, I'm afraid. The only places I knew of were Differences and the Edgewater in Oakland... but both have moved on.

Hmmm... maybe a new business opportunity in the Bay Area? Shoot... if only I had the time and finances for something like that... [&:]

Thanks again, and I'll keep digging.

I did indeed have some great times at Differences. I think the reason the prices might have been a bit high was the sheer cost of upkeep on the place. But the owner allowed people to stay for free (or greatly reduced prices) if they helped out with her parties or on the property itself. I myself was often kitchen wench for her open dungeon parties. For that, we got whatever room was open and all the after party play time we wanted. The best part of Differences was that you could scene in your room and no one complained to the management. Man, I miss that. I mean we can do that at home, when the family is gone, but I just don't have the equipment.

Don't know about Castlerealm, but did frenquent Castlebar. But it is gone. BAGG is not my scene, too much Stand and Model type S&M. I have heard the Citadel is good, hopefully, some day we will see.

We are going to the Folsome Fringe party at the DoubleTree in San Jose in Sept on Folsome Street Fair weekend. The way I understand it, we will be able to play in the rooms without the nieghbors complaining as we have the run of the place. Should be interesting.

Kat

Hmmm, not sure I was supposed to see this. I wonder what my wonderful Dom has in mind...[:D]

[:@] Dang public forums.

Erase it from your mind, love. It never happened. And if I offer to take you away for a weekend, this has nothing to do with it.

Yeah. Right.

Sadly though, no one has been able to direct me to the kind of place I'm looking for. [&o]

Hmm, some dom if you can say that and it actually happens?
How did you develop that sort of control over another human being?

Hehe
