2 topics but they are somewhat related..
Where and how did you meet your current signifigant other?

How many people have you met from collarme?Did you find that they represented themselves accurately?

I met him in a plain ordinary Southern California chat room. Just talking.

Met a few from collarme now. Meeting another this coming weekend. I'd say 50-50 represented themselves the same as they did here. You have to realize though I did not meet for anything but friendship.
Look at the personal experiences section(I think that is what it is called) All in all with the 70,000 or so here its pretty empty.

After all though.....I just had the ultimate compliment by someone who dislikes me here on the boards the other day. I'm the same in person as I am here...

It was a really odd experience for me. I'd never been in a situation even close and while you read all about what you're supposed to do, it's hard to see stuff like verbal/emotional abuse and manipulation(outside of my family, but that's a totally different story). Had no mechanisms for dealing with it.

Status: offline 		I met the Owner when he came to my apartment for a weekend, he caned my breasts in the first five minutes of coming in and THEN gave me a dozen roses.

I met my Boston partner when he came to my apartment to spend the night on his way to Leather Retreat.

I met the boyfriend by meeting him at a restaurant for lunch.

I met my younger VA beau at Black Rose last November.

I met my older VA beau at a Firefly munch group I co-organize.

I guess I've met a handful of people on collarme, but actually only the boyfriend was one I met here originally.

I would say of all the people I've met from online (and in total there are tons of them at this point) only a very few were unexpected from how we had gotten to know eachother- and interestingly most of them were women.

I've met one person from this site and he was pretty much like I thought he'd be, just shorter.

i met the man im involved with now many years ago at regular meetings for a writers group i used to attend Border's book store.We lost touch for many years then about a month and a half ago he emailed me out of the blue,we started chatting,we got together,it's been bliss ever since

i've met 2 in person that are members of this site.Both of which i originally started chatting with via b.com.One i even dated for a short time.They were both above average in looks and manners in the intial meetings.i would say that they didn't misrepresent themselves.So far i haven't had a very bad experience with meeting someone from here. i had a major disappointment with someone who ended up being different than i had thought he was, but not necessarily because he misrepresented himself.

I met my first r/l master in a chatroom at a cam site.

I have met around 15 people from my game site, all of them very nice.

But I haven't met anyone from CM, hope to some day.

Where the heck has Lawrence (Topcat) been lately?

Status: offline 		I meet liltxsubby right here on collarme.com. back in Dec of 2004. Her profile had what I was looking for so I sent her a message. She read my porfile along with all my post. I don't know why she was nervous and a little scared of me because of my post but she managed to muster up the courage to see me after chatting and phone calling for a month. We've been together loving each other ever since. She earned collaring back in april and we will begin living together this August.

Other than my submissive, I've meet CM members Dame Darkness, MischellefromHell, and a few others in the houston area. I also meet up with a few who live in Longview and Tyler TX. MisstressJami is a well natured Dommina who has more fun than a Human Being should be allowed to have. The funnything is that she graduated from the same High School that I did. What a small world. Everyone that I've meet have represented themselves very accuratly. As pet and I are moving to the DFW TX area, we are already chatting with a few couples who thus far, seem right on the money when describing thereselves.

Top Cat, it's great to know that you're still alive. I can't wait to start reading your post again. I truely find your input to be an asset for the BDSM community and those who are just getting started.

Good to know you are still out there. I lost another friend to a bicycle accident July12th and didn't find out until the 22nd... has really made me make more of an effort to stay in touch with friends.

I'm planning to relocate from CA to VA in September to try building a life with my new boy.

As far as CollarMe, I've met Taggard & Topcat -- both gentlemen and now friends.
