It occured to me today, as I was looking around the personals' side of the house. That a great many of us have adopted a nickname of "Wolf". Our collared slaves and subs are over there saying they are owned by "Wolf" or master "Wolf".

This might work to some of our advantages. While others it may work against us. I would like to hear from the other wolf brothers and sisters, should there be any. And see if we can come to a family (I use the term losely) decision. Or, perhaps there is enough interest here to form a BDSM wolf pack and choose our alpha male.

I have wolf user names on yahoo and aol. I also go by Wolf, offline in public and at work.

So how big of a pack do we have here on collarme?

So who's afraid of the BIG BAD DOM?
Lil sub lil sub let me in
or I'll huff and puff and blow
Somebody come up with something better please. Or something much worst to make me look good.

Well I do "Hunger Like The Wolf" Doggy style while being spanked and chain collared is one of my pets favorites.
In the BDSM life style are you refering to Wolf as you are into Were Wolfism or following the characterisics of wolves we see on the discovery channel? After all, wolves are in packs which would lead to couples and others who like to poly and have a house of multiple subs and slaves with the Alpha / Beta system.
I myself am more of a vampiric nature than a were wolf one. Pet and I also do not poly. The only way for this pack to grow is to start having pups.

Names tend to follow trends and archetypes

Horses, dogs, wolves, bears, tigers, etc for male/dominants.

Jewels, precious, toy, sweet, birds, for subs/females.

Was refering to those who have "wolf" as a nickname, or is there given name. Have seen two other subs /slaves that mentioned they belong to a "wolf". The third one I know, is because she is under my protection. There was another sub looking for a "wolf" named dom.

Was curious how many of the dominants on here are using some form of "wolf", as a name?

*smiles*

Its a cute idea. I used to be amazed at how many people had similiar nicks online then I stopped and thought about the reality of it. How many members are on collar me? on MSN? on any semi public forum? More than I want to sit and count that is for sure. *laughs* My Masters nick I thought was unique, until somone emeailed me. I simply laughed and nudged my Master and asked him why he was emailing me in collar me. He just shook his head. People take nicks for many reasons. Sometimes they are picked because of personallity or traits. Sometimes they are gifted by a Dominate, friend or family member. But I dont think that everyone who takes the same name always sees the same meaning both literal or emotion. What would be the prupose of a " Wolf pack " ? Or a Bear family? or a group of gems?I wonder what a group of Phoenix's would be. Anyways, why segregate yourselves ?

The question was never posed as a segregation issue.

It like getting an email from a stranger, who invites you to a new group that is forming. Just because your email happens to relate, to this particular group.

I really don't see wolf as a dominant name, per say. I once called one of my subs wolf. I had a sub named Pup, and when I aquired wolf, he was about a foot taller than Pup, hence the name. I know quite a few subs with wolf as part of their name.

I've never understood Dominants who wish to be dominant to other Dominants. I assume you feel you'd be a good candidate for the position? I'm sorry, but you need to be able to control yourself before you control others. You admit to being abusive and out of control with your temper. (From your profile "I have a temper and with that can be abusive, both physically and mentally.") BDSM is NOT about abuse. I feel sorry not only for your sub but for your children and anyone in a dependant or vulnerable positon to you. You need to look into anger management and other ways to learn to control yourself.

It appears to me that the original question was simply tp find out how many Doms used"WOLF"as their name or part of it (E.G. Wolf or even Timber Wolf or even Wolfman) rather that asking why people use Wolf as a name. Its a sort of pole if you like and who knows they all may decide to form a separate community for the fun of it, what happens is their business.

Beach -

First of all, the original post, was to find out how many used the name "wolf" in their profile. As Iron Bear pointed out, in his reply. Secondly, yes, I have a temper. But you are not here when my mood goes south, and you do not see the efforts I go through to isolate myself from everyone around me. Third, as with all assumptions... well the saying is know.
But this dominant, looks after himself, his slave, and when I get the chance - my daughter. I would lay my life down for both my daughter and my slave, without a thought. I also do not pity the fool, who would underestimate my convictions, or my resolve on this issue.

I am a solitary person just looking to be able to live my life the way I want, without interference from anybody. I participate in these forums, when a topic or issue strikes me.

Best way to find that out is go to collarme.com and type in "wolf" as a search term.

Yup that's what it seems to be Iron Bear. A thread asking how many ppl have the word "wolf" in there CM names.

Well, I don't know the answer to that and I don't care to go through every single profile to find out. If the first post has indeed been misinterprited, perhaps next time it can be titled "Do you use Wolf in your name?" and read something similar to to the question.

The great thing about these forums is you don't get to control what others talk about. You may want to talk about how many people have X Y or Z as a name, and who would get to be alpha of the wolf pack. I wanted to talk about the fact that you are an abuser. You're right. I'm not there when your mood "goes south." I don't know what it is like to have my loved ones afraid of my temper because I'm going to brutalize them them. I've never felt my fist strike a loved one's flesh in anger. You'd lay down your life for them? How about you quit abusing them. Is it easier to die than it is to stop abusing the ones vulnerable to you? I don't care how hard you try to isolate yourself. I don't care how you rationalize the abuse. And I didn't make assumptions. Your profile stated quite clearly that you are both physically and mentally abusive. Don't expect me to overlook or condone it. And do expect me to find it reprehensible and to tell you such.

I remember a Wolfman and a LoneWolf, both of whom are subs but not part of a family. They simply adopted the name because they individually identified with it.

I have a tatoo of 3 wolves on my arm and I use to go by Triwolf, not here but other places. However as you've pointed out quite a few others have wolf in thier handle so I decided to chose something different. That doesn't mean I'm not still part of the pack!

How many people use otter in your name, i know of one called playfulotter and i am mn ottertail (for good reason) I suppose I could type it in and count one page and then multiply by number of pages I hit but it seems like alotta work, i may have to click several times so.........since I am a dominant I cybercommand all you who have otter in your nick to contact me and tell me, and dont give me any of that crap about you are dominant too, I am more dominant than you..............

As to why this is gonna happen, well-- I have a wonderful proof, but the email is too small to contain the detail..................

God this place is a HOOT!

Ron

P.S. I may be a dominant, but I am not YOUR dominant.

I’m going to digress here ….

I’ve had a solitary nature all of my life and never liked large crowds. I too have a temper, which can explode. Yet 90% of the time I explode about a subject and not about a person. 10 seconds of very loud roars (well a parade ground bellow anyway) and the matter is over with me usually laughing about things and looking at ways to fix the situation. In other words it is an explosive release of negative energy. If it were personal I’d be more likely to use a non-human punching bag. However, hurt my family (including my extended family, and you see why I was called for a long time “The grizzly with iron claws” in cases like that I am fit one description I was given of a grizzly … “A short temper and a great right hook (loaded with large claws)”.

Regarding my nickname totem of “Bear”, just read about the spiritual meaning of the Bear in Celtic mythology, as well as the nature of the “Bear” as seen by the Native Americans. I was called “Bear” long before my involvement with my “Blood Brother” and his family. I've always had a passion for all Bears with a preference to Grizzlies and Polar Bears.
