Can anyone give me any tips or special techniques on how to get latex stockings and long gloves on. I was bought some and am trying them on for the first time at home and it is really frustrating me how hard they are to get on. Is it best or necessary to have someone help you try them on? The gloves and stockings came with the talc on the outside but is this really the inside of the garments..it is hard to tell which is the inside and which is the outside? The skirt with the zipper i did get on with a little difficulty though.

The talc on the outside is preservative which stops the latex from deteriorating whilst in storage. You can either purchase a liquid dressing aid or unscented talc to help you dress. I prefer talc because you can sprinkle it on the inside and you can get it from anywhere. Don’t use scented talc because it will react with the latex and spoil the finish. Whilst shaving isn’t required it does help otherwise you’ll be pulling at the hair as you pull the item on, which hurts. You can usually tell the outside from the inside by the seams unless it is a moulded item. You’ll also find the inside is slightly duller and has a slight texture to it.

Thanks for the info Raechard..yes it came with the talc on the outside but it was hard to tell which was in and out as i tried them on once before...today i was using some lube that is okay for latex and it made it easier..it is a molded item so that is where i was confused..or i think it is molded...there is a crease more than a seam. Thanks! i will look for the texture which You mentioned. The skirt most definitely had a shiny side which the gloves and stockings didn't...i just put a pic up in the skirt which i took myself a couple hours ago and it was approved here within 5 minutes..that must be a record! thanks again for the info!

My best advice - throw the f'in things away!

OK - so I'm not into the stuff (got it for someone else's benefit) but having also found I couldnt get into the stuff, it was an easy decision for me.

I wouldn’t agree with that standpoint but then I’m biased. It’s important when buying latex that it fits as it isn’t as stretchy as some people think. A lot of people have a bad experience due to getting an inappropriate fit and that is mainly due to retail outlets listing things as small, medium or large. There is not often an indication as to what each size category is in terms of real dimensions either. Demask and a few others give you the actual dimensions of the things they manufacture so I’d recommend them but I haven’t ever bought anything from them yet so I don’t know what their service is like.

The first catsuit I bought was way too small for me and I tore it by trying to put it on the wrong way. It had this through zip at the crotch so I thought that’s the best entry point. Obviously if I had done a bit more research or read the invoice stating that it was a neck entry suit I wouldn’t feel like such an idiot now. You shouldn’t write things off after one bad experience I suppose is my point. I don’t know what my obsession with it is and part of me doesn’t want to understand because that would just spoil it.

Lady Ellen, i couldn't agree with You more i might as well buy a wetsuit and go surfing or something..ha ha...but when You want to please someone You do things you wouldn't ordinarily do...

Semassub and Raechard, thanks for the compliments! and You are right about small, medium and large..i bought the large stockings and they are really tight around the thighs but not the foot and ankle...oh well..live and learn!
