How do unmarried Christian BDSM partners get around not having sex outside of marriage or do unmarried Christian lifestylers only engage in non-sexual play all the time?

There are a few popular ways to deal with this, in descending order:
  1. Rationalization (i.e. Protestants)
  2. Confession (i.e. Catholics)
  3. Cultism (i.e. Children of God)
  4. Reinterpretation (i.e. cutting Leviticus and Paul)
  5. Abstinence (i.e. sexual suicide)
The sacrament of union would seem to be without regard for its form, but oh well.
Depending on how you see it, I had a revelation, or went with option #4.

Health,
al-Aswad.

defiant,
i actually haven't had sex yet...i mostly just use vibrators/dildos b/c of the fact that i think i shouldn't have sexual intercourse until marriage but damn i sure like to cum...and most days...churches are actually kinda relaxed about it.  Because like we don't talk about "hey is so and so a vigrin" unless you get knocked up before marriage then we're like...uh, oops and we gotta think of something.
i don't know but i am loving your icon.

i recommend the movie "heaven help us" to show the treatment of students in a catholic school in the ancient 1960's. my Mistress is a protestant and i am a retired catholic. i had BDSM dream when i was in catholic grade schools. i compare the nuns in their black habits, with the black outfit of the Domme. How when they would beat students, they would proclaim that they were beating them because they "loved" their students.

The feminine side of of God/The All is very interesting to me, I guess you could say I truly do find there to be something devine about women. In Mother Earth I trust...

Does it feed into my submission? You bet it does...

Thanks, innocent!

The feminine principle of God is sooo often missing and we always forget that!

At this point, I have to say that sister Theresa, my spanish teacher in Catholic grade school, was exceptionally hot.

I've heard that nunneries in1700's Europe were practically bordellos, according to Neal Stephenson... and that's a cat that does his research, so I pretty much believe him.  Fun times.

i used to have fantasies about being a nun....and fucked by a lot of priests...probably why i almost joined the convent...by the way i'm on smirnoffs now.

sundownhawk -> RE: Religion and BDSM!!!! (9/29/2007 12:34:09 AM)

Having had a rather formal religious background I used to feel guilty...but I have gotten over it.
Turns out after reading quite a bit that it was mans rules making me feel that way, not Gods.

Celeste43 -> RE: Religion and BDSM!!!! (9/29/2007 5:47:48 AM)

I'm a reconstructionist Jew. What the Bible says is that you should not do unnatural things (paraphrase). What most Judeo/Christian sects do is interpret this to mean anything less common isn't natural such as homosexuality etc. What Reconstructionists interpret this as is meaning that you must be true to your nature. So a homosexual who denied his own nature would be doing unnatural things by pretending to enjoy relationships with women.

For me, my sex life and the fact that he takes the lead in our relationship do not cause any conflicts. Because we are being true to our nature.

I have to say, this is probably the lowest-key thread on this subject that I have seen.

Makes for nice reading.
Oh and DBG I think you brought up a good question, how do people resolve the issue of being in BDSM while unmarried.

LATEXBABY64 -> RE: Religion and BDSM!!!! (9/29/2007 7:11:05 AM)

Most people who are critical of religion never truely understand it. Never picked up a bible.  Let alone spent a long time among people who go to church. there is something more then just words in a book written many years ago. you can feel it everytime you walking in a empty church. Something grand  hard to put it into words but there is something more out there

I hope it's not merely because certain posters haven't found the thread yet.

I have my husbands permission to do WIITWD. I rationalize nothing....I have no need to.
