Way back (in the dark ages..lol) when i had a Master, i accepted pain, but because my purpose was to please and serve him. i did both by accepting his pain because, as a sadist, it was one of the things that most pleased him. i rarely find pain for pain sake erotic, and don't classify myself as a pain slut.

In a sexual setting, pain is nearly always a requirement. Mostly because it makes it possible to focus on a given sensation - without it I often fall into sensory overload.

I don't self-identify as a masochist, but my pain tolerance has deepened since being Owned by a fairly evil sadist. Pain *hurts*... (I don't go into sub space, i don't get endorphins, there's no 'flying', etc) ... but sometimes it also makes me get wet, while the rest of me is shuddering with 'ouch'. I have no overall sense of arousal, no active lust, but ... dang. it's soggy down there.... which is completely baffling to me. Basically what Wednesday said. A lot depends on the context.

Some kinds of pain, I enjoy no matter what. I -really- like burning pain, even burning my hand on the glue gun. I -don't- like hitting my elbows or when my wrists hurt.

I notice that my pain threshold goes up and down kinda at random, but mostly I consider myself a heavy masochist. There are some kinds of pain I hate, but love hating.

Oh, and tattooing makes me very excited.

I enjoy the pain that He inflicts, and not only because it pleases Him. I don't think of myself as a hardcore painslut, but i do enjoy the pain to the level i've experienced so far. A slap in the face, however, is a "red button" and He knows this. The last person who hit me across the face set off a violent and uncontrolled reaction, and if He decides that it's time to deal with that area, He knows that i need to be restrained first.

I consider myself a masochist, but I'm not really a hardcore painslut. Like most everyone else has said, it depends on the context for me. If He is inflicting pain on me, then I'm totally turned on (unless of course I'm being punished, then I don't enjoy it, but that's a different story), however I dislike jamming my finger in the door just as much as the next person. What also is interesting for me, is the fact that thinking about being caned, whipped, spanked, etc. is a huge turn on. The anticipation leading up to it is just about as much a turn on as the pain itself. Some of it may just be the fact that I like pleasing Him, but I do enjoy a wide range of sensations during a scene, including pain.

i agree with proudsub. i love erotic pain like nipple pulling or spankings. It arouses that base animal instinct. Face slapping is a different story. For me it cancels out all the good feelings at the moment. Talk about your orgasm stopper. i don't know why i react this way. It is just one of my hot buttons. Maybe it is as simple as crossing the line between use and abuse or between slave and doormat.

I am what my Master calls his "Pleasure slut". I get turned on by pleasing my Master! I like to know that I could be hurt but knowing that I won't be...getting spanked till it just hurts (lightly for me as I have a sensitive tush) knowing if he wanted to make it really hurt it could.
