Greetings Fetishes...hmmm...have a few, so does she...and the mixing up and variety of them will keep us occupied for at least a couple decades...at which time we can always involve our respective wheelchairs which will last well into our 80's...heh heh

They (the traditoinal western medical establishment I guess in this case is the universal "they") are saying now that a good deal of fetishism is hard wired into the brain itself. They have isolated shoe/foot fetishism, it would seem the areas of the brain that control sexual impulse and the areas that recogize feet are right next to each other, and in some people's brains there is an overlap between the spaces....kinda like getting strawberry & vanilla pudding in the same bowl and swishing it around a bit....which produces the fetish. and I've read research that says most "hard item" fetishes may be from similar causes...(as opposed to learned behavior like rape fantasy or baby-play) so if it is biological, I doubt you coudl ever do it "too much" it'd be like wondering if peeing out of your tinkle is using it too much for the same thing, it's just how the plumbing works and since it's pretty hard to piss out your left big toe, ya gotta go with what works.

That's kind of a difficult issue for us, actually... My wife loves novelty- new toys, new techniques, anything new and different (fortunately not different men!)... it's not unusual for her to use a dozen different implements in a CP scene. Meanwhile, i can relate more to my housecats... They climb up on your lap, and you scratch their heads and pet them, and you can scratch their heads exactly the same way, and pet them in the same direction, with the same stroke for an hour a day, every day of their lives, and getting bored would never even cross their minds... You're doing something they like, this makes them happy, no need to complicate things by over-thinking them. But, it's hard for me not to bore her sometimes [:o]

Clowns are evil. Shudders! Isn't this one of those compatibility things? If you're top activity is bondage then you shouldn't pick a partner who lists it as something he will suffer through only a couple of times a year. Instead you discuss this early on to see if you both get off on it. But in general, if you've discussed it ahead of time, and they understand and agree to it, if only because they enjoy doing things for you, then that should be all you need for a green light. Oh, and that they have the ability to ask for other things when they need them.

This is a constant issue for me. My Owner / Partner constantly indulges my fetishes and I find it very hard to shake the feeling that She must be getting bored of them by now. She insists that She isn't, and I know She's come to really enjoy them as well. I guess I need to believe what She tells me and trust that if that changes She'll let me know. [:)]

What could possibly be boring about exploring every nook and cranny of a fetish? Taking it out, looking at it, stroking it, exploring it, trying it on this way and that. It's never boring. It's not even repetitive because there's always something new - no matter how minute. I'm able to use my creativity to tease and torture my pet using his fetishes. To drive him to the brink and make him beg for more. Do I enjoy them - hell yeah! [:D]
