Being the beginning of the month, it seemed appropriate to highlight that in the UK it is Breast Cancer Awareness this month.
Being under 50 means you are not entitled to free screening. If you aren't sure how to check your breasts, go and ask your doctor or local nurse to check them for you and show you how - even if you wear a bra whilst she or he shows you if embarressment holds you back. It is really important to check for any lumps, changes or visual marks and even if you are a man check them too... because men can get breast cancer as well.
