The warm up is important, I think. Starting lightly, then slowly revving up gives the body time to adjust, and endorphins time to start flowing and kicking in. I hadn't heard of revving up, backing down, and revving up again allowing for more endorphins to kick in. I'll have to try that.

Some can learn, some automatically do, and some never will.

After 9 years, several sadists and countless tops of all shades- it's just how I work, I'm not a masochist, pain is pain to me. I'm not totally closed to the idea of my body chemistry suddenly changing, but it's pretty darn unlikely and I've no real desire to change.

I don't know that it's necessarily all about endorphins.

Endorphins take a while to build up, and I have recently come to realize that I often enjoy receiving pain even without a warm-up. In fact, I crave it.

There's no question that it is, indeed, painful. But at the same time that I feel searing pain I also feel...something I can only describe as sexual stimulation, although that's not quite it, since usually the pain is administered on a part of my body other than my pussy...but my body interprets the sensation partly as sexual pleasure. I wish I could put it into words better.

I did not realize this at first...I thought I submitted to some kinds of pain just because it pleased my Master. I won't re-write that story here though; if you want to read it, you can check out this blog entry:

Bottom line, I'm pretty sure either endorphins (or possibly an altered mental state similar to meditation?) have been involved when I've "flown" (entered a submissive pleasure trance). But I, personally, don't have to be flying to enjoy pain, even fairly intense pain.

I came on to this site initially because I do find that pain can be very pleasurable. My dom believes pain should be inflicted when I am bad and do not please him. I would never deliberately do anything to displease him, though.
Still, hair pulling, spanking, and clips (of all sorts) can make me feel - well, sort of turned on. Thus far I have not experienced cane or riding crop.
I would never be cut or burned by my dom.

I know that there are many subs who can't see the pleasure of pain. I almost pity those subs.

I firmly believe physical punishment should be reserved for rewards or when you aren't actuallly that upset with your girl. Consistency is important, if you're going to use physical punishment to show you're upset or to discipline the girl, be wary of using the same elements as a reward or regular part of play.

Being the Masochist and Having a Sadist help me feel pain Is safer then inflicting the pain on myself in a way if you know what i am talking about.
Pain does not hurt me it comforts me

i wouldnt know about that to me you are either a pain slut or your not but some spanking can be increditable turning on as for tattooing i found out the hard way *winks* that tattooing can be extremely pleasurable

My Dom is the same way, not wanting to hurt me. But he does know how to push my limits

. Anyways, today i thought that clothespins would hurt. Yes they did but only for a little bit but i enjoyed it a lot. This one example of how i can turn pain into pleasure. It is the endorphins that race through you and also partial adrenaline, well for me anyways.

I hated pain and never thought that would change. I'm still not a pain slut and doubt I ever will be but I do enjoy some pain. I have to be in a deep submissive state first though. I even decided I wanted him to use a flogger on me which I was so totally against. We ordered a deerskin one but haven't recieved it yet. I'm excited but scared also. Not sure I can handle it but I want to for him. He says I keep surprising him all the time and I would say I'm surprising myself also. Six months ago I didn't think I would want to call him Sir or wear his colllar but I am. I've learned to never say never since being with him.
