*winks and blows kisses*

hehehhe I still remember in all seriousness looking at a Gorean Dom and dead pan as can be... " what do you mean it is against your beliefs to take it up the ass? " He was cute.. but entirely too ridgid.. Not sure I trust any man who wants to fuck me.. that I can't fuck right back. I guess that is a hard limit for me. *chuckles*

Greetings,

There are two types of Vampirism. The first is a fetish based upon folk lore that people play at. It involves dressing up like a vampire from the movies and role play. It may involve some biting and blood drinking and can be very sexual in nature.

The other form is The Psychic Vampire. Google Michelle Belanger author of the Psychic Vampire Codex or Don Henrie of Mad Mad House fame. A Psychic Vampire is someone who's own body does not generate sufficient life force or energy on their own to sustain them and thus they most obtain it from others, hence the term vampire or vampyre as some prefer. If you have ever been around someone that just seems to suck the life out of you, you have met a psychic vampire. Other people seem to generate an excess of energy and when you meet one of them you tend to feel energized and happy. Some Psychic Vampires can not get enough energy from ambient sources or from energy feeding and thus consume blood and are know as Sanguine.

The relationship between a Vampire and their black swan (energy source) is a power exchange relationship. Dominance and submission play a role in this relationship and thus the Ds aspect of BDSM umbrella applies.

the op is kidding, right? power exchange, roleplay, pain, huh, gee,I cant imagine.....

I will admit, I have not read the 5 pages that came before this. All I can say is "ditto."

After all, it was my obsession with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its kinky subtexts (and sometimes not-so-sub-texts) that got me so wound up I had to take my interests to the real-life level after years of only imagining I might engage in such things.

Doesn't mean vampirism is one of my kinks, not at all. I just think that vampires are pretty sadomasochistic and power-dynamic-ish to begin with and it's hot.

My God I was wrong!!! Vampires do exist!....Only the undead could resurrect such an ancient and lifeless thread.

DominaSmartass -> RE: Vampirism:What does it have to do with BDSM? (2/26/2008 8:52:18 PM)

Yep, that's why I'm so pale.

Actually, I never really pay attention to when a thread was started and since I haven't seen this one before it's new to me.

Sorry but I have to argue, those authors who belive that " A Psychic Vampire is someone who's own body does not generate sufficient life force or energy on their own to sustain them and thus they most obtain it from others"  I have been accussed of being a Psychic vampire, but I do not need anyone's life force I have plenty of my own!  I do however find playing with others is akin to several doses of jolt cola!  It's awsome I feed off them, their need their want and their release...but I am totally offended by some shmuck intimating that  I need that for survival... heck it's all fun....does that mean I am noit a Psychic Vampire...now what box do I belong in???

no, you dont NEED it.  but it makes things better for you if you DO get that jolt, right?  Daddy is a PsyVamp.  he's honest about it, though.  and i willingly feed him, even though it wipes me out for several days afterwards.  its part of my submission to him, my slavery under his hand.

its all in what makes you content, in my opinion.

There's been one fetish that is among my numerous list of hard limits, that being vampirism. My query is this:For those who are into, vampirism, what does it have to do with BDSM? :-?

Nothing..but it can be a nice addition.

I loved the fear of my old slave..when I wanted to cut her..to drink her blood.
(we agreed on this...and it was a tiny cut..so don't panic )
