How do subs feel about brainwashing after being collared? To continually spiral subs into obedience....tapes with subliminal messages to listen to while cleaning the house, videos to watch over and over and over again for hours....things to repeat over and over and over..... to make a submissive into the most obedient unquestioning slave....

Thoughts on this?

Ok - this is my face [sm=rolleyes.gif] - It's a blank expression.

My question would have to be - what would be the point?

Peace and Love

Why take the risk?

Practically speaking, the dominant already has what he wants, a person that has agreed to try to have a working D/s relationship ... why take the chance with screwing it up by playing mind games?

Better to just work the relationship to it's best natural course, and find more healthy games, like online poker or golf. [;)]

In addition to Fates poignant and on-target response, I would have to say it's doubtful I would ever meet one of them, and if I did, and if they've been brainwashed properly, it's doubtful anyone would notice it.

Truly brainwashing someone takes an immense amount of time, energy and isolation. Most dominants aren't independently wealthy or have the means by which to get this done, let alone the desire to do so. Most submissives are not interested in being absolutely isolated for months or years and possibly not being allowed to have any future contact with anyone in their past as well.

So, beyond the impracticality, and lack of general desire for it, and the fact that most people wouldn't have a clue how to go about it in a productive way...I'd say it's a really hot fantasy.

Now, if you're talking short-term fun scene type thing, or hypnosis, definitely realistic and fun.

FangsNfeet -> RE: Brainwashing (7/25/2005 10:01:59 AM)

I've never seen video and subliminal messages work.

It's not about brain washing my sub turning her into my zobie slave, but more on trainning her. I may have her repeat a task over an over again but to have her gain confidence in doing the task when it's needed.

In short, I do not brain wash. I train and make sure my pet knows that I mean what I say with a belt to valch with. Trainning a sub to know what and what not to do is much more fun turning someone into who they are not and can't tell the difference if they like it or not.

That's a GREAT idea!!
Make 'em watch 'em ALL the time!

So, what you really want is a doormat.. not a slave?

They can be the same thing, the Owner expects me to be a doormat for him.

tinkJH -> RE: Brainwashing (7/25/2005 12:37:44 PM)

Well, I guess that would depend on ones view of a doormat.

IMO its someone without thought, opinion or a mind of their own, unable to make even the most basic of decisions by themselves.

Rover -> RE: Brainwashing (7/25/2005 12:53:07 PM)

It is my personal opinion (read... you are free to ignore it, challenge it, or berate it to your heart's content) that for many "Dominants" (you decide who is "genuine"... it's not worth my time) the reality of a power exchange relationship cannot compare with the fantasy of a power exchange relationship (ie: the Laura Antoniou books never explained that even "slaves" have a mind of their own) and the lure of hypnotism and/or brainwashing can (in their extended fantasy) bridge the gap.

I'm currently accepting awards for that run-on sentence.

John

Sometimes that's exactly what the Owner wants and needs me to be.

Emeraldslave....I agree with you. I guess I'm not serious about actually brainwashing somebody by isolating them for months, etc -- but the fantasy of hypnosis and mind control is hot. Check out www.mcstories.com -- that shit turns me on....

RiotGirl -> RE: Brainwashing (7/25/2005 3:27:26 PM)

i think its done all the time.. bits and pieces.. conditioning..

Superman42280 -> RE: Brainwashing (7/25/2005 3:45:45 PM)

Emeraldslave, I noticed in your profile you have an interest in mind control.... can you go on more about this? Tell me your thoughts, fantasies & ideas on this please..

Thanks,

Superman aka Chris

You sure? I can be brutal with my reviews.

I have been a long time reader of MC Stories, I love Eye of Serpents work.

Pavel -> RE: Brainwashing (7/25/2005 11:26:09 PM)

As much as control is spiffy, the brainwashing is a bit far off the deep end for me to think about now. There's that kinda odd appeal to haveing broken someone down that far, and then rebuild them as I saw fit to match my desires and interests, etc.

I still really tend to enjoy just the company of another person. Haveing someone who just smiles and nods to everything I say isn't exactly my can of spam. I suppose the subbies I've met/had an interest in were too fun as is to really desire to change them in that kind of way.

That said, I'm not at all opposed to programming any future subbie of mine to bake me a pie when I clap twice or somthing. Mmm, pie (maybe like apple pie March-September, and pumpkin October-Febuary).

Rover -> RE: Brainwashing (7/26/2005 4:03:50 AM)

You're a heathen if you don't include cheesecake somewhere during the year. Open your eyes, man!!

Ummmm... sorry, got carried away.

Yours in culinary delights,

John
