how frustrating! i completely understand. if You really aren't interested in a suggestion on what to do, read no further. ;) i have been in a similar situation. i called the local branch, spoke to a real person, in the position of Account Manager, and explained how their error had not only cause inconvenience, but cost You money, and good credit with the dentist. they should A) offer You a letter to take to the dentist explaining it was their error, and covering any fee, if he still imposes one. and B) make sure, personally, that everything is in the right place, and You will not be charged for any extra transactions on Your savings account, when the money is put back into your checking account. if they can't do this for a customer of 20 years, they can afford to give up your business. seriously, they can get in big trouble trying to explain unauthorized transactions, and missing deposits, can't they? phoof!, Master would have a field day with the bossy side i am throwing out here. *lol* good luck
