I think wanting to be alone sometimes is a pretty normal thing. When I was in college, every few weeks Id go to lectues and the refectory as usual and talk to people. But at night Id lock Myself away in My room, drink coke, watch T.V and eat junk food.I was like it for days at a time. Friends would be asking if I was alright. I was, I just wanted everyone to get out My face.

Although I have My own place now and Im single I still do the same thing-Dont go out or make any attempt to interact with anyone for a few days at a time. I love it,Im not a psychologist but I pressume there's a good reason for it. Unless Im just a screw up. (always a possibility). lol.[;)]

I just read the question propery. Not a sub/slave,but I do think wanting/enjoying being alone is a really common thing.

I am wondering if the question is more about solitude/reflection in relationship to D/s for the slave? Like limits pushed?
Or perhaps more about introversion vs extroversion within the slave personality?

hmm

Hello fourpeas,

Myself and my Domina live aprt, 400 miles apart. But she comes and brings me to Her place often.
When I am there and with her, Yes I still crave and need my solitude, so does She and we give one another that.

When I leave and we are separated physically....At first I feel Very Vunerable, can Panic. But I also can find myself treasuring my own space and being back home.

(I know of what you are feeling, Hope things get better for you)...

When things get to me, i do need time to myself to think. i don't hide in a quiet place though. i usually will put on one of my favorite CD's and listen to music. Music seems to be my therapy. Listen to music makes everything better for me. So when the going gets tough, i go to my CD collection then lock myself in a room. LOL!
