Well not everyone has the same definition of sub and slave so that really needs to be talked out ... some just prefer the term slave as they think it sounds more exciting or erotic than "sub" which some people immediately connect with the underground railway or deep sea boat LOL! And others got so used to calling their last one "slave" that it's a tough habit to break. Some think they will call someone what they bloody well want to call them! Or ... they are just being pigheaded and bloodyminded LOL! Only you can work out which category they fit!

My guess is because they are rude people.

I think that each of us should shown enough common courtesy to use the words that others use to describe themselves unless those words suggest a dynamic that does not exist with us personally.

For example, if someone says "My name is Bob and I'm a submissive" we should not say "Hi, slave" but instead say "Hi, Bob."

For example, if someone say "My name is TammyJo and I'm a dominant" we should not say "Mistress, May I serve you?" or "Hi, Tammy" but instead "Hi, TammyJo."

If someone doesn't give us a name but only a role, I still thinks it is more courteous to use their nick online at least.
