I've had a mono friend of mine make the comment to me that she needed a wife.  What she meant was someone who could cook and clean and help take care of the kids.  Not per se for her husband to help out more, or in other ways.  She basically needed a maid/housekeeper/nanny/cook; you know, all the "normal" wife jobs.

I personally have 2 "husbands".  Both do different things around the house depending on their talents.  I could use another "wife" around here too though.

I would love to have a poly household.  I think the 2-adults+children model is wasteful and hard to sustain, from an ecological point of view.  It is a "tradition" that only goes back about 100 years anyway.  Larger family units were the norm, and this tended to include not just multiple generations but also unmarried adult siblings, boarders and servants.  I've tried to impress the benefits of having a poly household on my beloved, but he resists.  I wonder if the first time I bring someone in to wash dishes, he'll see the light.

In tribal times a polyamourous household would have been common. It's lately more than one mate has been looked down on. in most of society.
Freedom today means many things. I think that anyone, I'd like to think women, I am a man but and I view nothing wrong with being a full time house wife.
In fact any woman who holds that fine title should be proud. A man should do his best to cherish his wife. Its even better if she is his slave and he can do as he pleases anytime he'd like.

A wife should be proud and loyal and serve if she is fortunate enough to have a good husband to serve.
