This girl’s best friend is her knife, She doesn’t like the company of others, She’s rather listen to the words of blood, Than to the advice of her mother, Her friend is always there for her, It helps her through the hard times, It keeps all of her deadly secrets, And turns blind eyes to her crimes, But her friend is also violent, Her friend’s words cut her deep, Each syllable slices through her skin, And keeps her from her sleep, When her own species cast her out, Her friend always offers support, When everyone is giving her the cold shoulder, The knife offers lonely comfort, The razor edge will break the arm, Slit and cut and slice and slash, Blood flows forth as a red river, Deeper and deeper she can’t look back, This girl’s only friend is her knife, Even though she’s pretty clever, But this girl lies down to weep at night, Because she knows friendship lasts forever
