how long do you like your scenes to last?

Depends on how it's going, my mood, many factors. If i am really deep in sub space it could go on forever.... time seems suspended in those instances and it's up to the dom to gauge things then.

what kind of scene? mental or physical or combonation there of? what kind of physical (soooo many options here)? constant or in waves? someone i am in a relationship with - further broken down into 24/7 collar, long term partnership, long term friendship, casual friendship, casual play partners, and probably more options - or not? and then you factor in how i feel, emotionally and physically, what the enviorment is like - temperature, other people, noises, so forth and so on... so umm yea...you're gonna have to give more detail... i've had a really hot scene that lasted over 2 and a half days over all...not constantly, but it came in waves....and then a week ago...i had a life changing scene - and i'm not exagerating - that lasted 45 minutes... chelle

I agree, it depends on the type and intensity of the scene. Some mental/psychological ones can last days. Some physical ones can last hours, some only minutes.

...not my decision to make. Doesn't really cross my mind> just want to be there for him as long as he wants me to be. I lose track of time anyway. My surroundings, concept of time, what will happen next?, lifes responsibilities, my needs and wants> all pretty much fade from my conscious thoughts then. He takes care of all of that.

Heaven would be having a great scene be able to play on and on with the one you care most about, not having to worry about any of life's trivialities or mundane responsibilities... But we can't always get what we want, now can we? -DR

For physical, I would say a couple of hours, as there is only so much the body can take before it needs a break. But for mental (or mental with physical), it can go on for days. To be in subspace like that for that long is wonderful.

I actually kind of dislike using the term "scene". Not that I don't appreciate the theatricality of it all (quite the opposite - the more, the better). But for me, LIFE is 'the scene'. It's always on. The way that I come at such things is that we're either actively engaged in some kind of fetish activity/play/use, whatever - or we aren't. But 'the scene' (the dynamic) is there.....all the time - ready to be activated at any moment. tips his hat - Mr. S

giggles at the mental can last for days, physical can only last for hours... in my earlier post....that 2.5 day long scene was 90% physical...and that 45 minute life changing scene was 98% mental... edited to add: after i process with him (he's really really really busy with work right know and will be able to get back to me after when ever DC in Atl is....) i will post on what happened in that scene with me...

When playing for the first time, I try to keep it under a couple of hours. After I've gotten to know someone, as others have said, it could go on for a while depending on the mood, people, etc...
