PrettyOHDomme -> Harness issues, advice appreciated (10/6/2007 12:35:54 PM)

I've been doing lots of research on strap-on harnesses, both within the forums and elsewhere.  I'm having trouble deciding on one that meets that following criteria:

-First and foremost, I'd like it to be sexy as hell.  Aesthetically, I'm drawn to the ones that sit low on the hips or have a corset in the back.  As an example, I think the Annie O is just gorgeous.  http://store.babeland.com/harnesses-2-strap/annie-o-harness  I'm relatively slim (size 6 or 8), but I'm a bit pear-shaped.  Are the 2 rear straps flattering to the booty?  Can I wear something like that and still have plenty of control?

-I'd like to use it with a feeldoe or nexus, at least occasionally.  Yes, you don't officially need a harness for those, but I'd prefer the extra control.

-I have sensitive skin, and I'd like to stay away from vinyl or rubber.

So...looks jaw-droppingly good, lots of control, feeldoe-compatible and no rubber.  Am I asking too much?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

-Miss Ellen

Give www.goodvibs.com a call. They can help you out with finding the right harness.
The Texas Two Strap harness works very well for me with the Nexus.

Decent harnesses need to be made by a competent craftsman-to measure. Most of what you are going to find out there is mass produced cookie cutter stuff designed to be made as cheaply as possible.

The vac-u-lock system http://www.vac-u-lock.com/ is the best i have come across. this from both me on the receiving end, and from One who has been on the giveing end. She did say it put all the right pressure in all the right places by itself. but u used some silicon seal, available in any hardware store, to put some soft raised pressure points on the back in the places She helped guide me that would be best.

a big advantage i've noticed is the ability to have one toy left inside you, then attach a new, bigger one, while the current one is still inside me. this makes for an easy change to a larger toy, and makes for a quick switch when the smaller (detatched from the harness now) dildo is removed from inside me, then quickly replaced with the new (bigger/thicker) one that is not attached to the harness. had helped me work up to being able to take bigger and bigger toys.

Personally I prefer the two strap/jock style for  comfort, and control, but its all a question of personal taste
Aslan Leather makes harnesses in leather, rubber, vinyl, webbing and vegan synthetic leather.. The quality is excellent, their customer service is great and they stand behind their work.

have fun

Thank you for all the suggestions.  I really liked the Aslan site; thanks Lucy.  I might end up with the jaguar.  Maybe I'll post pics.  :-)

I love my machine washable, lycra, spandex, Spare Parts harness. It is available from www.vixen.com or www.goodvibes.com It is in my opinion super sexy, sits low and comfy, and the jock style is super practical. It is compatible with the Nexus/Feeldoe and provides a nice firm base for fucking.

I looked for the Spare Parts harness on goodvibes, but couldn't find it. The Jaguar looks pretty solid...My main issue is finding a secure harness that doesn't slide around when I move.

Hi,
I recently bought a harness put out by the same company that makes the Annie-O harness (it is basically just like the Annie-O, but without the decorative corset and sheriff's star). One thing that is nice about it is that the two rear straps can be slid to different positions along the waist band. I haven't tried it enough to give my ultimate thumbs up or down, but so far it seems to be a pretty good one for me. If you are lucky enough to live in a city that has a shop like Babeland in it, the best thing to do is go in and try on all their harnesses, and see which one feels and looks best to you.

To have a harness fit well and look good it needs to be designed for your particular body shape and size, this includes colors and type of leather used. The only limitation is the imagination.
