Ok I have a bit of a question.
I do a lot of traveling and in general when in first world countries I have never had a problem with carrying a load of fetish gear with me, however in the next year I am planning on doing a quick round the world tour, through south america, south east asia and the rougher parts of the planet.
Has anyone had any experience with getting a load of sex toys through third world customs.
I have a bag with 4 whips, 2 pony tails, a spreader bar, a tail hook, a load of gags, sex toys and the more usual stuff.
Im especially worried about places like India, Columbia, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Anyone got any experience they want to share, or advice they would give.

just make sure they are in checked baggage and if customs rases an eye, you train animals.

Er, im not just talking about hopping on a plane, I will be doing most of South America the old fashioned way, Bikes, Bus, etc.
Im only flying from continent to continent, the rest of the travel will be overland.
And a lot of my stuff is fairly obviously fetish gear.

Is there a need to carry this stuff with You? As in, are You doing a bdsm lecture/workshop tour or some such? In which case You might try calling it "props". Otherwise, if You are just going sightseeing, make life easier and take the bare minimum! I can't imagine carting all that plus clothes on a bike or bus!

Have to say I'm with you on this.  Travelling light, and bringing everything but the kitchen sink are mutually exclusive, I'd say.

I once traveled with my bi-sexual friend and her female lover, and had to stand in line at the airport while all their 'toys' were removed from the bag and set to the side.  When one incredibly impressive dildo began vibrating and bouncing around I confess I left the two of them on their own, and it was every woman for herself.  Actually, I was laughing so hard I had to pee.  To give those lovely ladies credit, they withstood the public humiliation with dignity, and humor, and even joked around with the guards by offering to demonstrate some of the items uses.   

If you absolutely MUST bring your toys with you, you might try shipping the items ahead of you with instructions to the hotel concierge/manager to please hold for your arrival.  Or, you can just throw caution to the wind and have fun with the risks.  I don't think its actually possible to literally die of embarrasment.

Have fun on your trip, and if you feel inclined send pics!  I like to live vicariously through others.  Probably because I get homesick just going to Walmart.

Backpacking  with all that gear?? thats crazy ...Sorry it sounds mean but really !I've done whole adventure world tour thing...carting all your toys around is asking for trouble (customs,theft,storage,etc) if you get twitchy without some toys around make a travel kit
But I would suggest you make it from stuff that is both denible and replacable. leave the good stuff at home

There's a thread on here somewhere about 10 household items that are 'pervertable'... You might get some ideas from that. 

i'd give up the idea about getting anywhere in the Mid-East with anything identifiable. Their jails are nowhere near as nice as ours. And ours aren't all that great.

If you insist on bringing toys, make sure they are legal in the country you are going to. Otherwise I would agree with most and say travel light, much equipment can be quickly and inexpensively made, bought or improvised once you get to your destination.

Beware
In countries like Saudi Arabia, it could get you imprisioned. You have to check out was is legal and accepted in each country. As much as we claim that we are discriminated and misunderstood in the US, in many areas of the world, we could be imprisioned for many parts of our lifestyle in many nations of the world. If you need to travel with items, make them more general ... rope, tape, etc.

Well I am planning on stopping to visit a cute little puppygirl in Korea and i was thinking I might bring her to Thailand, so I only really need to worry about South America, and I can leave a lot of it with her then, but I bought a lot of that gear with her in mind.

If you just need it for that one location, I would ship it via UPS or fedex style curriers, and have it shipped to your hotel or whatever, most hotels will hold parcles for a small fee..
