If your Master made enough money and he asked you to quit your job and be a full time maid... would you? Let's say children aren't an issue.

Status: offline 		In a fricken heartbeat!!!!! HELL YEAH!! but only if i could start a home business. i think my job sucks old saggy ass, but i do it for some extra cash. Master also needs lots of toys (Xbox, new GoKart, New Laptop, the list goes on and on and on and on and on..... LOL!!) i am happy that i can bring in some extra money so that Master can be that kid at heart that She is.

In my home, yes, in a second. In someone else's, most likely no.

I'm retired and when i did work it was on my own time a few hours a day, so i have been His "maid" for 37 years.

I would not prefer to do this in the Owners home because it is his and the primary's together and she is EXTREMELY PICKY when it comes to how her house works. It would drive us both bonkers if I were the maid of the house 24/7.

However, at this point in my life I'd be comfortable not working and supporting the boyfriend in his career however I could.

Status: offline 		Well, that all depends. Master makes more then enough to support us. I don't work. I stay at home with the kids.

About being a maid? I suppose I am a maid. But, since I live here - Cleaning the house is more like my responsibility. With or without Master, I'd clean the house anyway. Because.. that is what you do when you live somewhere - it gets dirty you clean it.

Now, would I become a maid and clean other people's houses? No. Hell No. Master wouldnt make me either. I have clutter issues and perfectionist issues. Its hard enough for me to feel like I cleaned the bathroom well enough so I don't start crying.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! I'd think it was as good as hitting the lottery or something. I'd love to stay home. I could serve in many more volunteer capacities. I could also cook way better meals than I can when I don't get home till 6PM.

Status: offline 		i think it would only happen with me if i was alone (ie no family and friends). i have have too much vanilla life to explain that i am going to live in someone's home and clean.

Now in a perfect situation heck yeah, my Former Mistress talked how she would love to keep me as a femmed slave/maid in Her home, always dressed, and taken further...collared, cuffed, chasted, and dressed. Mind you it was all fantasy talk

Due to not yet having a work permit, i'm kind of in this situation now. Master works, and i stay home and take care of the house. It sucks. I love Him and i love taking care of Him, but i really miss contributing, and when you're out in the country with no car and no friends inside a 20 mile radius, it gets boring REALLY FAST. So i have to say no to this one - i can't wait to get back to work.

Status: offline 		Oh gods yes. In a heartbeat! We'd both prefer me to not work and to stay at home to take care of him. Unfortunitely in today's economy that is not easy to manage. But... its a long term goal.

Status: offline 		From what I'm reading, sounds like I am indeed a lucky girl. Master has let me quit working, and I do stay at home taking care of him and the kids. Everything but mowing the grass is my responsibility. So, I am maid, mother, wife, babysitter, carpenter, mantainence, and general manager.

Wow, didnt know I was busy! LOL!

All in all, I wouldnt have it any other way. I absolutely love taking care of Master and the youngins. Im finally able to do exactly what I've always wanted, and am loving it!

I wouldnt say your alone. There are times when I miss working. Not just working and contributing, but being around people. It sucks feeling like your cooped up in the house all day, there is no one to talk to (well.. forums) and its just.. well, boring. Unless you have kids, and then you want to work just so you don't hear them fighting for the 8th time on who has the pink frog that sticks and crawls down the wall.

Status: offline 		Without any kind of legal agreements and if the choice were entirely my own, no. my preference would be to work part-time so that i could contribute to our joint financial welfare, and so that i could keep an account, have something to fall back on, if all should go awry suddenly. Realistically, some relationships end even if the partners are dedicated to each other. It would also provide me with the health benefits necessary, and provide needed intellectual stimulation. Even in a vanilla relationship, this is what i would chose, and i asked the Mistress how She felt about my working and keeping a back up account in the very beginning of our exploration. Making sure we were both of the same mind on this seemed prudent.

The idea of being the Mistress' full-time maid is tempting, but the reality is not practical in our situation. We cannot legally marry and so setting up that kind of dynamic could result in suffering in the long run unless we were very, very careful. There are simply not enough legal rights built in to the larger community and it can be tricky to deal with all situations in advance.

*edited to add* This would be a major life choice and the Mistress will state Her opinion on those and discuss them, but She will not generally force Her hand by issueing a direct command unless She feels my thinking is truly not clear on the matter. Her first move then is to tell me to take more time and consider things more carefully. Unfortunately we've already hit our first major life choice.

Quit working???? No effin' way! He wouldn't ask me to do that anyway, he's seen how I get in periods of unemployment

shiv, I hear you. I had no work during the month of June and was stuck in the house, not knowing anyone around here (I just recently moved in with him) and completely miserable. I always get depressed when I'm not working. Even though it means being separated from him I couldn't WAIT to start working the beginning of July; it meant being 750 miles away but I couldn't get to the gig fast enough! I am now out of that horrible depression and feel alive again.

Status: offline 		Be a stay at home 27/7 maid and no other outside work? HELL YES. Would be like a vacation!! I wait on Master and do most of the houshold chores now plus maintain a full time job. The way I see it ... being just a maid 24/7, I would only be working half as hard as I am now!!

What does being a "maid" mean anyway? Just cleaning and doing laundry? A person would be bored to death and probably become depressed if they did not have anything else in their life, especially if the head of the house worked a lot of hours.

I made my husband quit his job a couple of years ago to stay at home instead. He does all the cooking (more than just dinner) and his meals are not "quick" fixes. He also does all the errands and cleaning and handles all the financials of our personal and business accounts. There's no way I could be self employed and do both the work and the accounting of it; so, he has a 'job' of sorts, but it's in the home and with me. I also delegate work from my business as appropriate, but clearly his primary duties are domestic.

It's also important that someone with that much free time has healthy hobbies. If my husband spent the idle time when things aren't busy playing video games or sleeping until noon there'd be some issues. Instead he spends many hours a week cycling (keeping his body nice for me!), reading, mountain biking or playing hockey. Or helping my family.

If I were ever in a situation where I did not have to work because my husband supported me fully, I would need to volunteer somewhere. I think a lot of people need to have "projects" outside of the home to help keep their mind and body balanced.

Status: offline 		I would consider this my idea of hell. My idea of cleaning is calling the maid service. I'm actually trying to convice Master to make arrangements for a sub male to come in twice a month to do cleaning.

I'd work from home (I've done it before), but staying home and keeping house would drive me bonkers.
