It happens occasionally that I read a quote and want to consult the post that it was taken from. In long threads finding that original post is not easy. For this reason I would see it as an improvement if the heading of the quote included the original post number. For example preceding the name of the poster: [quoteORIGINAL126:name Do you or do you not want to have that post number included in the quote?

You could edit the quote box to add the post number, or you could simply click on the post number of the post you're quoting, which brings up a small dialog containing it's URL. Copy n' past that link inside your response, and it makes it much easier to backtrack through long threads.

That only does something for the quotes in one's own posts. The majority of quotes that I am interested in and that I may want to look up are the quotes that other people include in their posts, however.

If you click on the (in reply to XXXXX) in the lower right hand corner of the post you're reading, you'll be taken to the post the quote originated from. XI
