Surely this is a politician trying to build bridges and be statesman like.
The bit about "praying to one God" is almost certainly what he really believes.

His "personal logical" difficulty about religious people not murdering others to achieve political objectives is clear for all to see. I suspect he cant see it tho'.

Yes I supported the invasion of Iraq, it has gone wrong but thats due to the Iraquis themselves.
Have we been here before ?

This isnt new, Bush said much the same before.

Seeks..... The Iraqi people have to share some of the blame for how its going now, but not all of it. Bush and Blair were warned about the possibility of this after Saddam was removed, indeed thats the main reason Bush Snr left him in power.

I wish there was a religion that preached peace rather than control and punishment over others.

When it comes to Christianity, Jesus might have started on the right foot, but his followers down the road along with the Catholic Church screwed up. As for the old testiment, the Jews killed and stole land right after being told Thou Shalt Not Kill and Thou Shalt Not Steal. 

If Islam is to teach peace, then why must everyone else be called infidels? Why must homosexuals and Islams who convert to another religion be exicuted?

Belive it or not, I find the physical actions done by the Church of Satin to have been less threatening than the actions done in the name of Christianity, Islam, or Judism.

So do most religions really want peace, or to delcare how everything needs to be or else?

When it comes to BULLSHIT...BIG-TIME, MAJOR LEAGUE BULLSHIT... you have to stand IN AWE, IN AWE of the all time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, religion.

Religion easily has the greatest bullshit story ever told. Think about it, religion has actually convinced people that there's an INVISIBLE MAN...LIVING IN THE SKY...who watches every thing you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten special things that he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish where he will send to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry for ever and ever 'til the end of time...but he loves you.

...And he needs money! He's all powerful, but he can't handle money!

What do those people have to do with Jesus? [:D]

I'm still looking for the part of the Bible that relates how Jesus told his followers  'And you must build up a mighty religion and place churches on every corner, and use the name Christianity to set yourself apart from others, and amass as much wealth and political power as you can in that name.'
