ORIGINAL: LadyLynx I am hoping my 1st UM will be a girl, I want to name her Asaia Carol. (Asya.) Asaia is the name of a Bird Goddess in a series that I love, and Carol is my mom's name. I have yet to find boy's names that I really like, though I might go with Taliesin. (Welsh Bard, associated with Merlin and Arthur.) lol Of course that all depends on whether or not my future husband wants to have a say in the naming. WAIT!!! You're PREGNANT??? I just saw you last Saturday and again this Friday and I didn't notice!! You really are?! Helpful hint to the naming of boys: They have to go through school with whatever name you give them and in middle school/high school, the need to fit in is HUGE and the kids (boys and girls, but especially the boys) are viciously cruel. Just a thought as you consider names. When my sister was looking for names for her son, she'd pass them by me. I'd ask the experts. I'd take them to school, ask the kids there and report back their professional advice as kids who had to deal with their parents' ideas of neat names. She LOVED Dieter. She has a German name and it really does sound good with Dieter. I took it to school Dieter - Peter- Penis - Dick - Cocksucker Dieter - Diet - Your mom's so big ...(and she is) Those are the two I remember the most clearly. But you get the message. Eventually, she decided on Brian cause the most the kids could come up with was Brain and she thought that was just fine. Since I work in a school filled with D'Marco's, Shanishras, Auricos, Shaniquas, and a lot of other names that the kids get teased about on a regular basis, she took my word for it.. well, she took THEIR word for it. juliet juliet
