I imagine he thought it was clever. It probably was the first time any of us saw something like that. Like a guy trying to pick you up in a bar, the first time a line is used on you, you might think it was cute. The four hundredth, no way. You could have some fun writing him a criticism of his approach, suggested approaches that take more work but bear the possibility of better success and a dozen or more links to discussions of how to write profiles and approach women. That would ruin his day, especially if you remember to block him writing you back!

Nah, it's not that odd. He was actually trying to be charming. He even read your profile! Is your profile actually somehow nice? Better than others? Sweet in tone? Men are visually wired, most think all women are too, so he sent a pic and asked for one in return. One other way to look at it --- The man didn't ask you for something he wasn't willing to do himself ! And that's pretty special. He led by example. It could be worse, trust me. I've had more than one: "I'm A Real Master! Talk to me with RESPECT, u girl!" or how about this...
