Hi all, i am curious to hear from others who may have had a similar experience. i had a clit peircing done in Feb this year, i had major surgery done 2 weeks ago, prior to the surgery i went and had the ring replaced with a plastic barbell to keep it open while in recovery, however it had to be removed. My question is if i have the courage at a later date to have it redone will i lose any sensitivity as its already been peirced once? camisra

No you will not loose the sensitivity. if you go to someone that knows what they are doing and you tell them you already had it done they will go threw the same spot. This will push out the little scar tishue that is there from the healing process and will not cause any nerve dammage. Why you had a clit pierced in the first place is beyond me it usually has huge problems thats why they stoped doing them and started doing the hood piercings instead. Not to say you didnt have your clit done (you know your body) But did you go to a pro or did one of your friends do this for you?

its actually kind of cool to look at the scar tissue on the end of the needle after they repierce...i had to have my lip repierced twice on one side cause of situations like that and the guy who did it the second time let me look at the chunk of scar tissue on the end of the needle...lol...and my nipples repierced once because i thought the first guy did it wrong...i didn't loose any sensativity anywhere but thats a different area....so...i dunno....

Appologies for me this was a sensitive issue and it was the hood of my clit pierced, I now have a very slight lump were it used to be so assuming scar tissue. If I was to have it redone it would be done by a professional. Thank you for the feedback camisra

If it was the hood of the clitoris, then this is very thin skin, and heals very quickly; it is one of the lowest risk places on the body to pierce, as far as complications go. I would not expect the scar tissue to be any problem at all. Check with a competent piercer first, of course, but I am sure you'd do fine.
