the dissent is on teh coputer, not really on tv. tv is numbing..the public is to worry, have fear, and be distracted- anything for "complacency"

Chris Matthews is not a journalist, he is a political commentator, and this is no different than the Dems trying to foist the "fairness doctrine" on the likes of Hannity or Limpballs.

Pressure from the political hacks at the WH,is the same as the "fairness doctrine"?

C`mon now, you can do better than that.

The point(IMO), is that Clinton didn`t exert pressure, and that bush does.

Matthews is part of the press(a free press),and shouldn` be hearing from political hacks,at all.

Do you think that Matthews is the only one?

Maybe we need a fairness doctrine,to balance out that kind of crap.

The Dems foisted nor attempted to foist the weapons of FD on no one.
Let us be clear about that.  This is a misnomer.

The "fairness doctrine",is one of the latest "causes  du jour",that the neo-cons are jumping onto.

It`s because they are a afraid ,that they`ll loose their right to lie with impunity.

Only Chris Mathews should be able to do that

This is why I like to watch Lou Dobbs on CNN.
Just last night he said "political correctness be damned."
I seriously doubt the White House could silence him.

It is a fact that CBS and the NYtimes never mentioned Monica a single time untill impeachment actually began.  Morris said he was the one who cut deals to make that happen.  Of course the Clinton's never pressured Mathews, he is a loyal supporter of them, why would they need to?
