Hello and thank you for your welcome. As for My definition of "pet" hmmm...Your profile/journal says pretty much what I would say...but you say it so much better! "Pet implies an owner to a Pet relationship. There is an owner, but the pet isn't chattel -the "Pet" for all her dependence on and devotion to her Sir is still in some ways independant as an entity, is submitting in response to the relationship to the care and protection of her Sir. A Pet can serve un-conditionally, in response to the right treatment." To Me...My pet is My most cherished possession. However, she is not My slave. she pleases Me with her household services and cooking and so much more but these are gifts to Me. she is like My kitten...soft and cuddly and just irresistable to Me...My pet. I adore her and love her for everything she gives to Me and for how she mkes Me feel when I am with her. I care for her and am responsible for all her needs. However, she has a mind and I value her thoughts and ideas and her spirit. she has choices and she is allowed to voice them and allowed to say No when options are presented, and I will respect that. There are some things I feel I should be the one to decide but its not all cut and dry that way. she is my partner and friend as well as exclusive lover. A slave in My opinion has given over all powers to choices to the Master as T/they have negotiated or agreed upon. My pet and I will continue to evaluate O/our relationship and grow and learn from each other and O/our limits will alter depending on the things W/we experience together. Not sure if I answered this well enough for you...I haven't been asked in a while and may be a bit rusty in My response. And I by no means, mean any disrespect to any slaves or other "pets" if I said something that did not mesh with someone else's definition. *This was basically an off the cuff response* MLapis
