I'm really glad this wasn't what I thought it was when I read the title. It is nice to have a bit of heritage in your life, but I'm thinking there are SOME things a grandmother shouldn't hand down to her daughters and granddaughters. Ewww. The slideshow, however, was very cool.

My grandmother still had one of the cannister vacuum atachment ones. I found it in her closet when I was helping her clean up once. Asked her what it was... and she told me I wasnt old enough to worry about it. I couldnt imagine why something made to suck up dust bunnies could get a reaction like that from Granda. I am just wondering how Petronius came to be reading up on the history of vibrators...... Oh dear the vibrator in the 9th picture is the one my mum had when I was growing up, she always had it hidden under her bed and I never knew it's purpose till my sister told me when I was 12.
